Thread: Frozen Jedi.

Yo.


I've been playing this game for over a year. It was a lot of fun, until the CU came, and then it really kind of sucked. It's just not that fun anymore.


I've got a girlfriend, a full time job, and a band, do I really want to spend hours and hours and hours and hours and hours grinding fricking picketts? Come on. That is sooooooo boring and dull.


So right now I want to FREEZE my jedi. Take a few months break from this boring ass game, but i do not want to lose my character. I would like to come back in a month or three, buti sure as heaven do not want to pay sony 15.00 again and again and again, just to not have my Jedi deleted.


What can I do to NOT get charged and not lose my Jedi???

your jedi will not be deleted within 3 months ... i know people who took breaks of up to 8 months and came back fine with all their gear and credits in tact ...

I wasn't aware you lost your character AT ALL, if you unsubscribed for a period of time! That comes as a shock to me! They DEFINATELY should not remove your character for any other reason than you request a removal. If you want to stop playing and come back in 2 years, you should be allowed to do so.


Wow. I'm really shocked by this. I really didn't know SOE deleted accounts for inactive members.


I mean, i can understand deleteing your houses if you haven't played in 6+ months, because that just makes clutter and lag...but delete your account and characters!? Wow.....

Stop playing and risk having your account deleted.


You pay them to keep the account.


No pay, no gaurantee.


All that said...they are not deleting account info because people come back to the game all the time.


Someone in our guild who was gone for close to a year just came back and she payed up then logged right back in.

The CSR's say that the toons stay intact on the servers for 6months, but with no guarantee. I just reactivated an alt account well over a year since discontinuing the payments on that account, just to find my toon intact, respec'able, and being rewarded with 24 months worth of vet rewards.


I'd feel safe with a 3 month disconnect, though I would double check the posted patch notes for database purging from time to time.

During a period where my computer need to be fixed and I couldn't afford it I had my account cancelled fromSeptember of last year to early April this year andsoon as I'm playing that same toon right now so I wouldn't worry about it.

I quit the game last October and came back in June and my character was still there. Same temp, just changed becasue of CU. I had also lost all my houses because they ran out of maintainence before it started being taken out of your bank account. So your character should be ok if you unsubscribe.
