Well lets see, it makes a level 80 NPC that normally hits me for 140 only hit for about 70. About a 50% decrease. That 70 goes to your Forcearmor then instead of 140 going to your FA.
Based on that yes Aura would reduce the amount of force loss because it will reduce the damage done to you. Now if you are talking PvP, well it all depends on the players accuracy if they are non-Jedi....if they are a Jedi Aura almost = worthless as far as damage reducing goes.

cool thanks I Just didnt know if FA calulates damage before or after defence modifiers.
very good question.
If aura is working your opp should be hitting you at the low end of their min/max, then FA should deflect based on that number.
So the formula should work like this - force aura makes opp hit closer to their min, then FA absorbs based on that number * 8% force cost.
I've been wondering this same thing.
you will have to test that out, I know I will. Find out if the hits are closer to min with Aura and FA on.
does this solution sound right O'etam.

Plus aura makes them miss more afaik. so its better not to be hit at all then with a min dmg ![]()
If you plan to use FA2always use aura with it..otherwise it'll suck your force..

Yes that sounds right to me from the feedback I have gotten so far but I cant test this until I get FA which wont be until 2 weeks cause this weekend im going for Force Valor.

Yes, the less damage you take the less force you lose, aura will decrease the overall damage then your armor does the rest, those Jedi (like me) with 4040 Defender and x4xx Enhancer can be pretty insane, +40 FA & +42 innate armor & +500 defense...
i am jedi liek you who is insane
