Thread: Non-Jedi Question on Crystals (Quality and Selling)
- What category are clear/white crystals located under on the Bazaar?
- If a Jediexamines them, will the non-Jedi (me) be able to see their quality afterwards and be able to keep track of which ones are good, fair, etc.?
- Can Jedi see the qality for themselves on the vendor/bazaar?
- Does the condition have anything to do with their worth?
- Do Jedi charge non-Jedi to examine crystals?
Power Crystals (those are the white ones) have a quality rating that can only be viewed by a Jedi when they examine one. There is no way to tell the quality on a vendor. Non-Jedi cannot see the quality.
Quality, not condition, has EVERYTHING to do with worth, especialy since premium and flawless crystal/pearls no longer drop. The only thing dropping now is "good" and below. The loot is now linked to CL and lvl 80 drops "good." If you looted something below CL 78, the quality will be fair or poor.
A premium (pre-cu) sells for tens of millions.
The higher the quality the better the chances at a high end tune. But you are buying only a chance. Tunes are random so you could spend tens of milions and end up with crap. IMO, not worth it.
They are located on the vendors under the Misc. category, not sure of the sub category.

answer to #1: lightsaber crystals (colored and clear, along with pearls, all go under the same location on the bazzar)
answer to #2: no, non-jedi can never see the quality.
answer to #3: no
answer to #4: not really (actually probably not since there are adk's out there now). the quality has the most, if not all of the factor for a crystal's worth.
answer to #5: depends on the jedi. i have never charged for examining crystals for people.

Components, Lightsaber Crystals, I believe.

No, you will need to keep track of this somehow, perhaps by keeping them in different bags, or recording the conditions.

At this point, no, they cannot see the quality etc.

Sometimes.. If two crystals are both "good" quality, and one is 1000 condition, the other is 500 condition, the higher condition would be worth more to someone without an ADK.
- Do Jedi charge non-Jedi to examine crystals?
Some do, some do not.. depends on the jedi.
One thing: With the price of crystals and pearls, I wouldn't suggest the bazaar, as it is 20k max, and people cannot see the quality here.
(I'm not trying to sell them here, I'll do that on my galaxy trade forums or the bazaar. I could not find much information of use to non-jedi in your forumstickies so I apologize in advance if this question is not welcome here in the Jedi forum. )
