if you get enough of them (max +25 pts) you get more experimentation crafting points. if you have +25 LS Experimentation tapes, you will have 12 experimentation points to use.

To make this a bit clearer...
Every 10 experimentation points you have (in ctrl-s) will give you 1 block of experimentation in the experimentation phase of crafting your saber.
If you're xxx4 saber, you have +75 which rounds down to 7 experimentation blocks for your saber. If you can get +25 experimentation from a suit, you will then be able to make 10 pt sabers, get it? If you have +5-14 in tapes at xxx4 saber, you will get 8 pts, +15-24 would yield 9 pts and +25 would yield 10 pts.
Now if you're master saber, you only need +20 from sea's to be able to make a 12 pt saber since at master saber you have 100 experimentation and 25 more would round down to 120 (12 pts). So at master saber (100) +1-9 in tapes would yield only the 10 you have, +10-19 would yield 11 pts, and +20 and over would yield 12 pts.
