"Quick question for you if you have a moment please. No answer has ever been given from anyone in SOE. Would appreciate some kind of informative answer.
What gives Jedi visibility?"
SpaceRancor has PM's disabled, but I sent the above to Blixtev, Tiggs, Thunderheart & Rogue_5
No answer = they don't know.
Avoids answering the issue = they don't know or they want to keep it a secret.
Straight answer = they do care, and realise that this is something that should have been answered in the user manual you get in the box when you buy the game.

Maybe things have changed since the CU, but there were Dev posts on this very subject some time ago. It was stated by a Dev (TH, I think) that any NPC within 32 meters when you use any Force power (i.e. do ANYTHING that changes your Force bar - like tuning, saber attacks, using Powers, etc) will give you visibility.
Now, what they were not very specific on was just "what" constitutes and NPC and it's been said that the game views some quite odd things as "NPC's" - for example a corpse, or a vehicle, or shuttle, allhave been rumoured to cause Vis.

the fact is the current dev team doesn't know. the vis system was designed by people long gone.
one more broke thing in a game of broke things.

The visibility system has been explained by the devs in detail. You can find information about it in the Jedi FAQ.

I have ready the Jedi FAQ. Still too many unaswered questions. And I saw nothing in there to definitively state that the information was from the devs.

So it's true what everyone says about all the idiot flamers on the Jedi forums.
I have no problem fighting a BH or dying to one. So long as it's a reasonably fair fight. And it's not 'easy to grind now' since I can't just go off solo to some remote area on Endor and grind away. It is more fun and social now though.
As for "pc / npc from 32m gives u vis.. grp members dont.", well I have done just that, but I still had a BH friend pick up my mission on the terms 10 days after I became jedi. That's why I want clarification.
From the attitude of your comments I suspect you fall into the category of "I'm a long time Jedi, and am better than you newbie post-CU Jedi who had it so easy". Things are a little different for new Jedi now. The whole profession is weakened to the point where a new Jedi can be outdamaged by a Novice BH using a Cl54 rifle. We have to care about vis since we don't stand a chance against BH until we are near full temp. And even then, the BH still has the advantage.
So Trina, if you don't have something positive to say, just hit the back button on your browser.
