Thread: What The ''Jedi'' Did To The Galaxies...
Hello, fellow Jedi's, I have just read this post on the Ahazi Forums and my heart is having a great battle as great as my Brain to understand this...
Here is the link.: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Ahazi&message.id=888346
Now if you take some time and read it you will know what was the game like before Jedi came... Maybe you dont belive it but the game was really inspire'ing and great in its special way... There is one that posted about this before and said something like.: Its thanks to the Player Base many Join this game to just be Jedi and many switch to it and thats like... Its all going to be Jedi's and no-one is anything els... I mean for the shake of Role Play I think its OK, that someone go for Jedi and do the ultima hard grind.
The Devs made the Holo-grinding, where you need'd to go out and TRY all the Proffersions and become a Master in them all... which ment to both giver you the chance to try everything and also be worthy control the Force... but that system didnt work, its really great if you think how all people should do it in it, Grinding really fair and use time on it...
Now this FS grind prevents people from Switching Proffersions all the time, soo there could be Crafter's and they could also work on Jedi...
After all these pieces of info do you have anything in mind that you dont understand WHY the Producer's, Devs, and all want Jedi to be as strong as any other Proffersions? That wil prevent only those that is Jedi'ish Role Playing, to be it!
Really its true and YOU! know it fellow Jedi... If got any agruments against this trueth tell me it without trolling plaese... This is a very serous post from your always loyal fellowSoloBacca!
I really belive that my post is worthy getting up to the top once again...
Sorry this has nothing to do with "before Jedi came..." You fail to point out before advanced kinetic composite armor, before HAM buffs became mainstream, and that the community was getting over a huge CH nerf which sparked more PVP. I think this is the time when the player base stepped out of the infancy of being in a new game, and you began to see a lot of the larger problems begin to emerge out of pure necessity.
I think this is the most intelligent comment I've read all week. Kudos.
It seems to me no-one understood the meaning of the entire post!
Expect for one of you, mentioned all those that wasnt intereste'd in Jedi left long time ago, but its really what the guy that wrote the post I show'd you guys too means that they havent left at all...
I'd rephrase it to "What Micromanaging from LA did to Galaxies" as most changes had to be approved by them. It's the unfortunate fact that the marketing suits thought that everybody and their dog/cat wanted Jedi more than they wanted the other 32 professions that they'd keep the bulk of the player base following a dangling carrot. Sure people are around but those who didn't want Jedi nor cared about prequel stuff left a long time ago. SOE isn't clean either for they've proven that a group of monkeys could in fact write a more stableand less buggy system than what some of the previous coders can. Add to this SOE also proved that they undoubtedly have the industries worst CSR support system and possibly even the worst in CSR support period.

What most people who weren't playing at the beginning of the game don't realize and alot of people have glossed over in their memories were the serious bugs, lopsided professions and horrifically broken aspects of the game. It wasn't ideallic, it wasn't a wonderfully balanced economy. Imperials ruled the galaxy with AT-ST's. You couldn't take them down without huge groups. The forums were filled with posts about how unbalanced that was. Rebels needed a similar faction type pet was one of the screams going on. Exploits and scams were all over and NOTHING was any different than it is today.
The screams to nerf Commando, TKM, Smuggler, Pistoleer were all over the place. "They are game breaking, they are destroying the game" was the battle cry, same as today. "The economy is inflated and it is all the fault of the rich crafters.... nerf them" was another favorite topic. Everything was the fault of some other profession than the one you happened to be. If you couldn't kill everyone in one shot and win every pvp battle, the other guy was too powerful and it was "game breaking".
I bet you all think it was so much better in pioneer days before those damn horseless carriages ruined the world too.
Thats true I made an Exploit to let rebels take advange of the AT-ST on the Mission Rewards thingy dingy after some time but it got FIX'eD lol... But I was just talking about... Jedi is... very special...
