Why can't I do anything? I'm a master ranger and see so much room for improvement, why wont they just fix us? The code for adding traps isnt even that hard...comparatively to making...say....player cities. Why can't I kill anything? I can't solo nargs. They eat me. Thankyou for all your hard work Narras...But Marked Zippo Master Ranger of corbantis may be giving up....I'm with that other guy...I think I may become a hair dresser so I can be useful to someone....

Agreed, there is lots of room for improvement... Vast vast VAST expansive room for improvement even. 
The Powers That Be guaranteed Player Cities soon after launch, so that is what GreenMarine has ben working on.
- Soon that will be out of the way...
The Powers That Be have already stated that Smugglers are next in line... So that will probably be GreenMarine's next major focus.
- After that... Only the Powers That Be know what will be in store.
We have been lucky so far... Receiving two most excellent gifts in the form of /conceal and /areatrack.
- Of course I recognize that is not enough. But have faith that, with time, we will be complete.

When I gave up most of my Ranger skills a months ago, I warned you guys this would happen, that GreenMarine would be so tied up in Player Cities and Mounts that it'd be quite some time before anyone even thought of improving Ranger in a meaningful way.
Guess what? Judging by how well things are tested before they're released, can you imagine the nightmare of bugs and code fixes that will be required before Player Cities, Politicians, taxes, elections,mounts, parking areas, shuttles, player owned cantinas,new buildings, death, item decay,etc are working correctly? I predict atwo month shakeout, minimum, before all of that is put to rest. And when there's a large influx of new players come December, there will be even more headaches (lag, connectivity).
And all we know is that Smuggler is next in line, and that there is no shortage of professions that are more broken / useless than ranger (Chef, Squad Leader, etc).
Rangersmay get a bone or two between now and March, probably something trite and cosmetic like the 'stalking warning' but I wouldn't expect much more than that for the foreseeable future.
Do not make the mistake of believing that Sony cares whether current customers are happy or not. You are, without a doubt, paying them for the privilege of play testing this software. There is one server called Test Center but in reality, they are all test centers.
As far as Sony is concerned, this is found money and they are making a profit on this a year ahead of schedule. Your happiness is optional. There will always be another person willing to spend 4 months figuring this all out in your place. They know that in the end, 12 to 18 months from now, the product will be finished, it will be good and they will have plenty of customers. In the meantime, your personal satisfaction with this game isn't even on their radar, let alone important to them.
How do I know this? Because despite all of this games many, many problems and missing features, they have not increased the programming staff in any meaningful way. This is all going exactly according to plan and they are probably just amazed that they're making any money at this stage of the software's development. If you leave and they make a little less, it's not critical. This is all a windfall, anyway.
