Thread: A Way To Apease Pre NGE jedi ( a bit )

This is a fairly simple way tohelp appease Pre-NGEJedi, without SOE removing Jedi from a Starting Career or not Allowing Non Jedi to Respec into Jedi.
Here is the basic Idea.

This Data Is based on Post Pub 9 Jedi / Post CUand Pre NGE Jedi XP Levels

When respecing into Jedi instead of basing the respec on the Combat Level of a Non Jedi Player, take into account the amount of XP required to attain their current Skill Set vs the XP to attain a Full Templated Jedi (all skill points used) Pre-NGE.
Based on lets say a CL 80 Master Bounty Hunter / Master Combat Medic / 0004 Pistoleer it requires a total of appoximately (10,904,700 ) Total XPI'm only human so my calculations could be off.
A Current CL 80 Jedi Full Template - Master Defender / Master Lightsaber / Enhancer 0002 / Healer 3000 and 6 Full Branches of Force Sensetive XP is approximately ( 39,980,000 ) Total XP, this is not evencounting whatever careers they did before Jedi.
Current Jedi Level XP is roughly 3.67 times the amount of XP for a Standard CL 80 Career
If however you take into account the fact that the Max xp From one Critter was roughly 1 k for Jedi and 6 k for others it equals out to more like 24 times the xp required for a "Normal Career"
By making it more based on previous work you will appease current Pre-NGE Jedi to some extent, this will make Respec Jedi somewhere around level 10 - 20doing this will make them have to work to get to the place current pre-NGE are and appease a lot of the current Pre-NGE Jedi and make them feel they earned their level while Respec jedi will still be Jedi but have to earn their Jedi Combat Level.

Thats all well and good, however, did you also take into account that alot of characters have been, are, or are currently going through village quests and phases still. Which means that their character has had to convert the 30-1 ratio of XP into some boxes and Force Sensitive XP. So the idea you came up with should also include a solution for the long time that has been spent obtaining that XP as well, and converting said XP into FS XP.

Then take into account Jedi are weaker in NGE than other professions. And factor into account that jedi make up "Basically" the only Melee profession left. I think that this won't really work. Truth is there is no way to make up to the old jedi without not moving forward. I feel for the old jedi I do, but in order to move forward we Need to start making things fair, no more of this: "My jedi should be better cause I deserve it."
Don't get me wrong old jedi DO deserve it, but this proposal still isn't fesable. What about those melee players who now have no where to go cept jedi? Is that fair because they wanted to be TKM?
