Yeah, no kidding. I miss being a 4004 CM MSwords. Sooo much fun... especially throwing an area heal in theed, and realizing you're TEF'd... then running from the jedi hoards who smelled fresh meat

Just pointing out that I've been around a bit, that's all.
I liked pre-CU better than the current system (aside from the mindfire dots, etc) but that doesn't mean to say I'm retarded and think that by stamping my feet I will get a pre-CU server when the Devs have already said countless times that it is not possible (either technically or commercially, or both).

To the others - yes, pre-CU combat was fun. You could pick your specials, see them in operation, lay down some good states and move while you were doing them.

No... it really wasn't unless you had a mindfire weapon or were a CM.
Otherwise it stunk.

I have been Jedi for almost two years, I am not living in the past, I simply stated that I would pay alot more just to play the game i enjoyed so much. It is a point, not me whining that I can't play it anymore. I am just saying that it would be nice if SOE would some how bring it back, I wonder what would there subscriptoin rate be like then.

I agree with you 100%.
BUT - the same question has been asked over and over again and the Devs (Tiggs) has given the same response every time, "its not possible". Whether you take that to mean it isn't technically possible or isn't commercially viable/possible is not really relevant. For all we know the pre-CU codebase might not even exist anymore, and if it did I'm sure it would not interact correctly with JTL, RotW and ToOW.
The above said, I would gladly pay my subscription to ONLY play on a pre-CU server (preferably a pre-Jedi server, unless they were ultra rare and the system to get them wasn't hologrind or Village). I wouldn't want the mindfire dots back that dominated PvP though, that was the worst part of pre-CU imo. Oh, and all the old duping, pathing, trapping-creatures-behind-things, etc exploits would have to be re-fixed/backported.

Admittedly, PvP has gotten progressively MORE lame over the last 2 years, but lets not exaggerate the past here, either. PvP was pretty retarded even PRE-CU. Horribly unbalanced, and relatively boring. It may have required MORE strategy/tactics than now, but it still didn't really require much. Mainly, it was who had the uber weap and FOTM de jour.

I think i would pay alot of money just to play like it was before the first cue hit. I often dream about the times I had, there was always some action, pvp was based on skill, tactics and profession. Sometimes you could fight more than one person, some times not, weapons made a big different and armor. Oh how i lone for the old days.
