Back in the "golden days" of SWG, many people quizzed others about how to obtain Jedi in the game. Many people had some awesome ideas (much better than the system's ideas) while a very selected few (me lol) actually knew how to do but was afraid crapless to get our accounts banned.

I found out in August of 2003 how to unlock Jedi. It wasn't too hard. There was a guy who figured out (through illegal means) that only way to become Jedi was not through some wandering hermit, or from a Jedi/Sith quests on Dantoinne, or trying to hunt down the mysterious lighted orbs; but to master at least 12-16 Elite Professions.

In September of2003 He mastered5 in a row before the Developers banned his account. Me, wanting to have a good game experience, kept this knowledge to myself and started grinding the old fashion way (without hacks telling me what profession I needed next). In Late september me and a group of others broke the news to everyone (before the holocron madness) and BOY DID WE GET FLAMED lol.

Many people thought we were lying and stating lies to discourage those who wished to obtain Jedi through mysticals quests and so forth. In March of 04 I finally unlocked my final profession and became Jedi. And I did it without ever camping my butt on Dantoinne or buying Holocrons.

Anyways, check out some of these old posts of me getting flamed over the correct way of obtaining Jedi (please dont respond to these threads...they're very old). If anyone can make these into clikies, I would be appreciative:

Rather than posting outright, he gave a silly glowing comment but then started to talk about the elite professions he mastered. Another member who knew the right way commented on his progress. Sadly, it seems, no one else caught it. Everyone else was fixated on his race and why he was "glowing"

I told them we need 8 professions and I got flame. lol. no one wanted to know that we HAD to grind. At the time, I had assumed it was 12. If I mentioned we needed 12 to grind, they would have assassinated me. This thread is golden.
