I ask you this. Why are there absolutely zero defense mods in any other tree but Defender? Is it to balance out game play due to the fact that most Jedi wear def bio clothing? I don't think that stuff even adds up to the defense of a normal profession, does it? I wear armor so I've never bothered to add it up myself.

Seems kind of crazy to basically force everyone into the Defender tree just to compete. I've been up against Non-Defenders and they went down faster than a normal profession would have. I guess it just dawned on me how much Jedi have to rely on a single tree. As the fact stands, a Jedi with 3333 Defender will go down fast, but there's a huge difference at 4444.

Be nice if they split up these def mods and give each tree a certain set of def mods to each profession.(still leavinga noticable def gainin the Defender tree) Defender alone seems to be pretty useful IMHO.

some defender i suppose is useful, but mdef is pointless. ai sucks. but ya it does suck that with all be clothing, and 2 aakuan rings, i only have 94 ranged defense, but since that doesnt work, i only have 84. so ya, i cant take much of a beating

The same could be said about medic skills on any combat profession really.

I do know several non defender players on farstar, and they just have to play very carefully and manage food well.
