Thread: A new template idea..

heya,


with all the snare changes I was thinkining.. why not fight BHs back with their own medicine - give them Jedi's snares (improved force wave) as they cant escape them either..


so I came into this template: MLS, Def 4340 , enh 3003 , healer 3000...


WIth this template I have a fairly strong defence and decent innate armor, the max jedi snare(improved wave) and root....


Does this template and tossing snare/root looks viable for a jedi?


So I'd appreciate some feedback: Did anyone try the improved force wave? is it efficient , how long does it last etc?

I dont like the x4xx enhance line.. had it before and force armor drains your force like crazy,.


innate armor is working better for me on the long term ...


The Snares/root tactic are what I am interested int..

well if they BH has a ranged cyber arm you're not gonna get within 32m to use your snare...

i used force wave on people today including a BH, i have a temp similar to what ur thinking also. Just try to use the wave, plus root when they got their burstrun on for the most effect.

imp force wave dont really do **edit**...i tried it...and there is no way of cancelling the snare

So is the impr. force wave efficient? what 's the time peroid it snares for?

pre patch 9 , jedi knight mls mdef 4004 heal ruled


after cu and respecting thru all the possiblities my final template is


mls 4042 def, 3000 heal , 4004 enh.


i own bh. none survive ,,well atleast didnt..i have not had chance or opportunity to check this out since the nerf..oops..i mean patch 24.


only time i ever lost was if i was afk for a bio and beer brk..lol..always fun to come back to a dead jedi..but always made me lol and have fun chats with the lucky bh.


secret to combat with this template is..


...kd recover..(seems they always use kd shot first)


.. force suppresion...(root)...so you dont have to chase em


...armor break,,,and if you wish a dizzy or a stun after..but not needed


...then saber throw to kd them


...then power hit ..


..then dervish.


...after this if they still alive..means you have a worthy opponent and you need to use your skills wisely..use the wave when the suppresion is about to wear off..as it takes time b4 you can root them again and it keeps em slowed down..


.for damage attacks , to save on your action..use head/leg/body hits..they do good damage...and use less sac then saber throw and ph , and derv..

interesting..


only down side to this is losing some innate armor if dropping a def line...

true, i guess you could go 4240 def..i know some that have...is a 50/50 deal i guess..i use fv if needed. and since i loot whre more then pvp. the extra melee def in last tree is what i was after.


also it should go without saying..that all the modded be clothes...psg's . food/ drinks you use make big diff two.

i have a set food/drink pattern. and every piece of be clothing i can wear. plus alot of mods from sa's but even before the sa's whre put in . i had lil trouble with 1 on 1 bh..and even got lucky once after cu and had 2 bh attack at same time..score mule 2. bh 0..lol
