Thread: Trials of Obi Wan better pull off something miraculous, seriously.

Because after being ignored for every game breaking issue the Jedi are having and when not being ignored, being told we are broken on purposewhich is followed by another shameless: "Buy Trials of Obi Wan!" sales pitchagain and again...This expansion better satisfy me or I'm seriously through.
Anyone else feel the same as me that the deciding factor whether they will stay in the game or even buy Trials of Obi Wan is if it fixes our serious issues and adds some Jedi content that is worthwhile?

i completetly agree,SOE have made a mess of the star wars online franchise and they know the game is on a downward spiral,so they're gonna try to squeeze every last ounce of cash out of us before they finally need to close the servers,trials of obi-wan should be a free download giving the fact that we're paying our money to beta test their damn product,when they should be paying us,i dont think one free expansion as a thank you for putting up with all their crap AND helping them refine their product is too much to ask

I refuse to login until the FRS is put in and Trials of Obiwan comes out... then and only then will I make my decision to leave after 2 years of gameplay.

You might be waiting a long time.
I don't see the FRS coming before 2006, and I'm tired of logging onto my Jedi, hunting Krayts for hours, getting two good pearls that tune to crap and then feeling utterly like I totally wasted time.
Which is why I'm playing BF: 2 and other FPS games and I forgot how much fun they were.
Plus they are free and balanced. SoE has till Nov. 1st to prove they can make the profession I worked the better part of a year and a half to get worth my while.

I've been playing BF2 for about 2 weeks now and compared to SWG...
Ill say this:
I had to reinstall windows since purchasing BF2 and haven't reinstalled SWG -- Enough said.

its a sad state of affairs but alot of ppl feel this way,the only thing i log in for is to make armor and my guildwar,neither of which take me long then i log right back out again and go play WoW or planetside

my subscription expires in october, and i dont plan to renew...back to guild wars, or diablo 2 (its amazing that a game as old as diablo 2 is still amazingly strong, if only blizzard made this).

And your point is? The Jedi profession sucks, even good players get slagged by other good players behind regular profs with good equipment. My friends and myself included could all beat and have beat Jedi with our alts. We duel for fun.
I can beat all of my Jedi friends with my regular prof alts and they in turn can beat my Jedi and all our other Jedi with their regular prof alts, and with pre-CU sabers if you are a good player you can still win 75% of the time vs a Jedi with the right template. (MBH/MCM, MSwords/MDoc, etc)
Jedi is pathetic now, and not only that but the worst part of all this is, that we have a 1000+ reply thread and offer CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions ALL The time and are COMPLETELY ignored.
Haven't logged in, in a long while, they may think you are indefinitely addicted to SWG but in SWG's current state all it really takes to break free (if you do get addicted to video games) is to take your friends and play something new, anything new. Which is why my guild is dead today.
Bottom line: There is a thin thread holding most of us to this game, and since SoE says their "Silver bullet" will be Trials of Obi Wan I will hold them to that. If our issues are not fixed by then and the "silver bullet" or "deus ex" is a dud, I'm gone, peace.

No crap, so we endured this "Combat Upgrade" to basically come full circle to pre-CU with the mind pool being king and uber healers replacing uber stackers?

THE COMBAT UPGRADE IS A SH!TTY VERSION OF PRE CU , IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME BUT I'D RATHER PLAY THE IMBALANCE PRE CU THEN POST CU, THE GAME SURE WAS ALOT MORE FUN PRE CU!!
