I was on dantooine on the very bottom of the planet where all the mountains are, when our group discovered some force mystics by our lair.
So we began to kill them one by one and I noticedsome very odd things...
- The sound effects of a hit were that of a lightsaber.
- One of the Force mystics used Saber throw at me while wielding a pike.
- Animations were all as if they were wielding a lightsaber.
They were all wielding melee weapons. 
What's the deal with this?

not a bug, FS NPC's use jedi moves and have the animations/sounds, just dont have an LS

Theyve been doing this since CU. I dont care much for it personally, the sounds at least.
No waya sword should be making lightsaber sounds just because they are using the same type of movements.
(unless the user is making woosh, vrooom sounds with their voice as they swing, you know like we all did as kids)

Had a ns do a saber throw with a power hammer on me, wish I could do that would be a lot better then my saber

maybe, they just decided that giving NS a LS would make them too easy to kill, so they had to give them non-jedi weapons, forgetting to get rid of their animations, i mean, what about dem' powers that i loved to walk down to fight an elder suddenly to have the message "you are choking" appear.
