Thread: im taking a stand agaist BH

BHs are not penalized for losing against Jedi because Jedi are supposed be beat BHs. 1.5 times more powerful is not just what SOE says, it actually is true. If you can't beat a BH, it's your own ineptitude at PvP or yor template. No flaming intended, I'm justwriting what I think.

And btw, taking a stand against BH is not running from them. Taking a stand against BHs would mean you ACTUALLY FIGHT THEM.

I rememeber one time my friend was being chased while we were grinding, back before they changed visibility for jedi in groups. He had 2 BH on him and while we enjoyed 1v1's we didnt appreciate more then one guy coming so we had them chase us atleast 32k meters on dathomir as we kept going between the outposts. Finally, hours later I was able to time the shuttle to come ( back in the 10 minute shuttle days ) right as we got to an outpost so we started travelling between planets before we went back to Corellia and sat in our house for the next few hours.

i do make sure i keep enough vis to be on the terms as i sit in my house. that way some grinding jedi somewhere is not being wakked for his xp.

The BH can simply go get another mission or just wait for him...I do this sometimes when going through mail, sorting things in my house,or dealing with city/guild politics...Should I just stop what I am doing for every BH that shows up at my door? No...of course not...

No, but by not logging out, they are wasting Bounty Hunter's time and credits.
- 2000 credits for a buff
- 1 arky droid, 3 mins wait until it shows you what planet
- 1 seeker droid
- shuttle tickets or time on bike
- about 20 mins wasted of another paying customer because some whiner decides that they want to sit in their house afk forever.
At least when I do it, my house is about 700 m from BH central, in Kadaara. They can probably just tab to me, lol!

boo hoo. there is no upside to fighting. all i get is more vis if i win. oooo, sign me up.
i hate forced pvp, and can't wait till it's changed, till then, im playing the jedi / bh war the way i want to. come find me

This poster is my -FAVORITE- kind of bh, this is the kind of guy I'll make chase me for upwards to 2 hours with force run 2, occasionally stopping to make sure we keep the tef active, just completely screwing with them, armorbreak/kd/root every now and tho, blow up a few swoops etc. then when I get bored killed them, and walk away happy in the fact I've saved so many padawans from yet another noob bh who was willing to waste that much time on a fight they should've realized they werent going to win.

Sadly for you, many people do not do this. As a BH I have made MILLIONS because of the over insurgance of Jedi. I have only lost 12 times....but Ive killed over 72 Jedi (some were the same)

I have 5 other strategies that work wonders too but there's no need to post em (as Im sure many of you already know). You see, Jedi are a lot like a wild animal that dwells among public human areas. We have no problems if the herd is sparse. However, if the herd grows too large or starts to wander to close to the city, then we (the hunters) are encouraged to take them out.
It's a shame that we only kill you. Ive been pressing the DEVs to give us non-working replicas of the hunted's Saber that we killed. I wouldnt mind having 72 lightsabers adorned the wall of my house (next to the taxi-dermied heads of the other animals I had hunted).
You can run all you want, but we have tools to find you. I have ways of getting a Jedi off guard. I always do. If I get killed I make a note and pay respect to that Jedi because I know he knows what he's doing and how to do it. However, I have no regard or sympathy for the Jedi that jumps up and down in front of a major starport flashing his saber like an overexcited majorette the day she first gets her twirling wand.

Your my favorite kind of animal. The type that thinks they're immortal. The type that think that little glowstick of theirs is their lifeline. The type that thinks every BH is an noob. The kind that let their guard down..every..single...time.
1. You'll never get a chance to screw with me. I dont run after Jedi who runs away. Would a hunter chase after a deer? I dont think so. Why would I? What makes you think Ill chase you.
2. Im not the type of BH that will follow you to planet to planet if you know I am doing it.
You see, you made of fundemental flaw in me and if you dont know what it is then oh well. I dont have to chase you, I dont have to /tell smack to you, I dont need to see you run into a house and go afk. I've got other ways of hunting my dear animals. If I hunter has to chase its prey then the hunter is weak and not well suited to the hunt.
A True hunter waits for his target to come to him and not know of any dangers. I dont chase anyone. I never have.

I can take that fact that you don't want to be "forced" into pvp. I can take that you feel that there should be a pve only option. I can even take that you don't like me. What I feel is pathetic and childish is that you feel that it is ok for you to feel that you can waste another paying customers time and credits by sitting afk, after purposely gaining vis, just so you can annoy them. This just sick and wrong. By definition, your behavior constitutes harassment and griefing. You get vis, fine. You don't want to be hunted. Fine. But when you are not playing, logout.
If you feel that this is ok, then you need serious mental help. You are the reason BH's love to hunt you. You are the reason we get a bad reputation.
Run, if you need to. Hide, if you don't like the danger. But don't mess up someone elses night, who may only get a few hours a week to play, buy being a ***edit bodypart***.

funny, when bh hunt jedi and cause them to loose time xp, etc, it's all ok.

wah, you took the chance and became jedi, now deal with it, its hard, thats the way it is (although i believe losing xp from dieing is stupid)
