I personally feel it should take a long time or lots of creds to get a saber that has a a lot of nice pearls in it. I do agree drops need to be fixed but it should still take a long time to get anear perfect saber. I krayt hoe'd for several months before CU and tuned 50 or more prem or better pearls and still do not have a perfect saber but 2 of them are and the other 2 are 120 max dam -8 fc. I do want nice pearls to start dropping again but I still think it should be difficult to get a perfect saber. I bet I have spent 50 mil creds (pearls, armor, ack hammer, and 2h speed stuff) and 5-6 months harvesting pearls and do not think it should be given out like han posters.
It may take more time but it will make it much more satisfying when you finally get a good set of pearls to put in your saber. Top-quality pearls should be a very difficult loot to obtain, imo.
Can you provide ONE reason why decent crystals should be "hard to get", besides the fact that you already have yours?

Unlike the Jedi, who use natural crystals mined from such worlds as Ossus in the Adega system, the Sith prefer synthetic crystals to generate their lightsaber blades. While the crystals are being forged in a blazing furnace, it is not uncommon for a Sith to reach out with the Force and manipulate the process, focusing his hatred for the Jedi to increase the potency of the crystals.

It seems like what has happened lately is that we're now starved for decent crystals (at least my server is).Not only this, but crystals seem to be tuning very poorly. That being said, I'd like to make a change to how crystals are tuned.make crystal tuning take time. The faster you go, the higher the change of ruining it.every 24 hours the crystal becomes in tune with the jedi some % more. a jedi can 'push' the tuning, but it'll degrade the final quality.to make a 'perfect' crystal, the jedi would take 20-30 days of a tiny bit of tuning a day.The ultimate difference between fair, good, excellent and flawless crystals should be within 30%. Not > 60% as it is now to prevent loot compression.Light side jedi should tune crystals by harvesting natural crystals from where they grow, and then putting them into a device like a nemoidan cage, where they gently adjust the crystal's growth to suit themselves- i'd expect the animation to look a lot like meditationdark side jedi should take a natural crystal, melt it in a special fusion furnace and then spend a little time every day shaping the crystal with their power and focused Will. This should look like a the throwing lightning animation. this artificial process is what gives them their blood red color.Unlike the Jedi, who use natural crystals mined from such worlds as Ossus in the Adega system, the Sith prefer synthetic crystals to generate their lightsaber blades.
