Do you honestly think that matters? look at it this way, i've gone to other games, during the CU times and even during the pre-cu times. all i heard from people was "wow that swg is going horribly" "yea i have a friend that played it, said it was the worst MMORPG he ever played, and he is a star wars junkie", if everyone currently quits.. and at this rate they will, word of mouth is going to spread like wildfire that SOE just really screwed their current player base, worse then it is already.
What makes you think a star wars fan is going to pick up this game? pay a monthly fee to grind..? what for? let me guess to RP right? yeah right, you can go RP in Jedi Academy and you'll still have more fun in it than SWG. hell i've had more fun playing tabletop RPG star wars then swg, at least my saber did some damage in that.

Neither did SOE when they launched the first game.
I am under the impression that an RPG fan wants an RPG game, not an FPS. Which is basically the reason for I'm against the NGE. I'm not against the quest based system, I have to say I really enjoyed the tutorial and especially the space station.
But the new combat system is dumb.. and the fact that there are 9 classes instead of 32 professions makes it harder to roleplay, not easier.
Since when did DoA became a FPS?

To a large scale corporation who sits on the Star Wars License, do you think they give a **** about a small veteran community when all large gaming websites and pretty much all large star wars sites say SWG sucks?

what numbers would that be? the numbers like your characters accuracy, speed, movement speed, weaponspeed, armor stats, defence and such? of which the new game has what 2 resists on the armor and weapon damage? thats about the same as most FPS games.
KOTOR, baldurs gate, syberia, all had 1 thing in common, they all had numbers for your character,accuracy, speed, defences, health and so on, theNGE hasno numbers for defence, no numbers for accuracy, its all twitch bases so in shortnot an RPG. Definately nothing worthpaying to play, considering you haveSW battlefront 2 which is a better game than the NGE, star wars episode 3, kotor 2, all better games than the NGE.
My old guild had about 60 active members back in the old system and was mainly a PvE guild, after the CU went live the guild died due to there being only 3 active members left.
Roleplay games are numbers, the roll whether you hit or miss is about your characters accuracy, vs your oppnents defences, thats why some of us like RPGs.

You want to be a role player, fine i respect that, but why do you insist that everyone bend to your playstyle. There were outs for people like you in the old system. if you didn't want to be perma-overt don't do the knight trials, if you don't want to pvp don't go overt. wait thats a contradiction to what you're saying though, if all these sites are saying they suck, and the veterns doesn't matter. if they **edit** the veterns, they are just going to these sites with all the bad news that is being filtered out, thus giving swg a even worse reputation then it already has thus killing the game. i could be missing something, but i don't think so. so in short VETERNS ARE THE F'ING GAME. we stayed here the longest, and we all have detailed accounts of what they've done, promises, and never did.
And believe me, people do read reviews before they go to a MMO, and they'll only be reading bad things.
