Thread: SAC Cost Issues (added Force Cost)
I have said it before I will say it again. It ain't all about damage. I swapped out my 102, -3fc crystal and put in a 82, -7 pearl. My saber went from 502 - 601 dmg, fc 22 to 489 - 577 dmg, fc 16. I hit faster and in some cases get better damage. Template is MLS/MENH heal 4004.

This makes no sense, really.
When comparing numbers, it is most important to stay CONSISTENT. Not to ensure you are testing based on the "mean average". (And on that note, I disagree very strongly that 104 would be the "mean average"). It would be virtually impossible to test this with an "average" #.
Further, if he tested it based on a half-template Jedi, then they wouldn't even have all the skills available. And you'd also run into other variances such as lower force regen rates for lower level pads, etc.
So I think Bac has it right just how it is. You take the test results from a FULL TEMPLATED Jedi and figure out your numbers. Then base EVERYTHING from that point on off THOSE numbers. It's all you need to know.
If you THEN want to know what a 104 SAC saber would do to the numbers, then figure it out based on a conversion ratio like this:
(Example)
97 SAC Saber, and a saber move that costs 41 Force Pool
Compare to a 104 SAC saber, use this formula:
X = Your saber SAC cost, Y = Bacaiacca's calculated force cost of a particular special (listed above)
(X * Y) / 97 = Force pool spent
It's that easy!

action costs i dont mind.....but seeing as how healing pretty much rapes a jedi's mind remind me why using a saber costs mind?
Well SAC cost can be greatly reduce, as with every weapon, when crafting. A LS can have a have a 95 SAC if you have the right stuff and experimintation points. Build a better saber and experiment on effectiveness and you will see a diffrence. Now Force Cost is a diffrent issue. only see a major cost on Dervish but that is a MLS skill so it should cost a bit more. IMO
I just see a major SAC cost in things like Force Run and other non saber powers. Thos little things you can work around.
