Just like in Diablo 2 with the hoardic cube..but still a fantastic idea. Maybe with a system like this in place you could pull more hoardic cube stuff like rerolling weaponry.

Tuned Premium pearl + 2 good quality pearls = untuned premium pearl or something... I dont have as good of ideas as you Glzmo so if you could possibly try to incorperate this or look it over and maybe figure something out so the people with 115 -9 pearls laying in a house can possibly give back to other jedi..maybe even only for their "apprentice"

Hmmm take xx amounts of items and pop it into a tool, and out pops and item of better quality. Wait I know I have seen this before.

Looks over at shipwrights. Oh there ya go. Component analysis tool.

They could implement one that does tuned pearls as well - pop in2 tuned ones, like a 100dmg -2 FC -0.19 speed and a 25 dmg -0.05 speed -7 FC and you get the best of the both. But limit it to only being allowed to do this once.Heck even popping in 10 to give the best of 10 would make me happy.It would at least give some use to those hundreds of bad tuned pearls clogging up the databases in the hopes of something better coming along.

Glzmo,

This is an excellent idea, and so doomed to failure. Like many of your other great ideas, which would make a massively improved and enjoyable, it will never get implemented.

The Devs do not want brilliant ideas such as this one. Furthermore, 2 other reasons it wont happen are:

1. The Devs believe that implementing a player designed idea would loose them "face". As they didnt come up with it, they may think that it would unlease a torrent of good player sponsored ideas. The fact we can now all see this great idea is exactly the reason it wont happen.

2. The Devs are trying to push TooW live into a bug infested mess after publish 24. They are probably maxed out in meetings trying to decide what to do. Although it would be simple to add the code for this onto the end of the Cube code already in the expansion, it would mean a Dev taking a decision. A decision for which they dont have long to think about, nor test. The decision would have to be early, executive and based on trust of the community. They would never do this. Devs from other Games do this, but the SOE ones dont. They lack the strength and conviction to make this happen.

I find it rather sad tho, as it was a brilliant idea and allows players to "de-risk" their tuning at the cost of more items needed. I would agree 3 for 1 is sensible, but if the Devs are paranoid about this being to easy, put it in at 10:1. This is extreme but at least gives us the chance to get what we're after - we just have to do insane work to get it.

seems very nice,what i suggest they make a new pearls and crystalsname,so all system could start at begin. If they turn off droping pearls as we know them now and put there with new name like "Krayt dragon pearl ---special--- " they could change the whole system. New pearls have all quality "GOOD" .All jedi ppl could tune them or we could craft like I show up,but you could decide at the end of crafting,if you want final pearl or want this pearl use for next phase crafting "like makeschem in other proffesions". So I put 2 good pearl and get 1 quality,if I click I am completly done with this pearl,I get normal name pearl "quality" like now exist in game,you can tune it.But If click I want improve the pearl,nobody can t tune it till you do next phase of crafting to "select".So these ppl which keep good pearls and crystals untuned at home now,they not get change get better pearls or crystals,because this advantage would only for new pearls,but finaly could open the way make us happy to get better quality pearls and it s still won t be easy .
