Excellent testing.
This also means that right now saber hit is our strongest attack by far when you look at DPS, force management and action pool management combined.

Did they say they were using skill mods to do it? I'm guessing doc buffs and slices, possibly speed pups aswell, as the speed buffs all appear to work, and the other two modify the actual speed of the weapon.

Interesting, because I saw other tests by riflemen getting their actual rate of fire up to 1 per second.

Taliesyn42 have you seen any jedi that seem just too fast only using fspeed2 ? If you did what's your guess on this one ?

And what about non-LS jedi? We get the shaft again in the new system like we did in SG's term, I don't recall seeing any healer or wielder issues during his term, Bac is trying to be an equal opportunities corr and once again the already most powerful disciplines and fotm jedi are trying to monopolise his time with what they deem to be "higher priority" fixes.
I'm not saying that the LS problem isn't important, but to make the outrageous claim that this is the #1 issue in jedi right now is just plain wrong, we have so many other issues right now that are NOT attached to the LS discipline and these should have equal right to be addressed as this issue...

Get some numbers crunched...my friend is a mpowers menhancer and he has tested that his attackspeed on powers does make a difference based on his saber. using a saber with good pearls in it made the power attacks go faster suppoisdly then without wielding one at all, its possible that powers may encounter the same bug, when you are unarmed you are techniqly wielding a weapon that has stats and everything you just don't see it or the stats, so having a saber equipped would change the stats you use to fight with, since most mpowers don't have much more then 0404 of sabers or mls, its hard to say whether there is a large difference, but if powers is based on your LS as suggested from my friend, then this fix would actually improve powers...

Well, Tellahane, I've created a macro the same as the orginal poster used and I'm about to try out master powers unarmed, with my saber and also with my speed sliced pistols/rifles with and without the appropriate speed clothing. If this makes a difference, then I will retract my original statement and back this issue as being more important than the current state of wielder as the fix will aid two disciplines at the same time, something which can only be good for the state of jedi overall.

Post the numbers regardless if you can so i can pass them along and do some number crunching

Considering that at least one other test has been done by a completely different prof, I don't think this is a jedi only issue, but a game wide issue that affects all of combat...

I have a comment though I noticed that my 3.7 base speed saber changes as i work through the respective light saber tree. Now that im up to the 4thbox the base speed is 3.23. So if I get a CA or if somone out therehas a CA look at base speed with and without theCA see if it changes. let me know ifI am totally missing your point. That being said Good work man this is a very well thought out post. Hell I can cut and paste I should start writing code
