I believe it was stated by the Devs that Action costs are a short term control over combat, and the Force pool costis a long term control over combat. Okay, everybody has short term action costs, fine. But why are Jedi the only ones with long termlimitationsforcombat? It's just a forced attempt (no pun intended) to minimize the Jedi's effectiveness.


Why not make Jedi specials use one or the other but not both at the same time? use action costs for saber specials. Use force costs for any other special (heals, powers attacks, enhances, and maybe for saber throw as well). This would be a more realistic application of the different pools we use, and would better balance us as a profession, I think.

1. Visibility - modify Jedi visibility so that Jedi can grind with a group without ending up on the terms. This will allow us to group grind in places other than Myydril and Ryyatt. I would add XP as a separate category, but if this is fixed I think it would improve XP gain significantly.


2. Risk vs. Reward in the Jedi vs. BH system - Jedi have an XP penalty if we lose, and yet we gain nothing for defeating a BH. Implement a BH penalty and/or Jedi reward to the system. Honestly, if we get rid of XP loss altogether, then who cares about visibility? Your only penalty is decay, and then we're in the same boat as the BH: no risk. The stakes needto be raised for the Jedi. Incentive for defeating/engaging the BH and not running away, cloaking, etc. Just remove the 5 on 1 gank squads.


3. FRS - Reset all those "masters"out there to Knight.Enact a system that makes sense, cannot be exploited (a la fight clubs) for advancement, and actually pits light against dark. Imagine that...a battle of Sith vs. Jedi (even Sith vs. Sith at the higher levels of the DS food chain) and not just Imp Jedi vs. Reb Jedi. Sounds like a good idea for a movie.


4. Content - Implement Padawan/Master relationship, add a Dark vs. Light story to support #3 further. Give Jedi the option to "graduate" from the GCW, yet still participate in it if they choose.


5. Improve Loot drops -Lightsabers depend on loot. The market for premiums is ridiculous again. Everything I'm using is pre-CU and ADK'd. That kind ofsucks for the new guy.

Ooo got another one, as the post above says, Jedi use force, so why not add a force refresh or something, like in the films/books jedi draw upon the force to refresh themselves, so could regen action/mind.... about 10 swings of your saber and your knackered? The films wouldve been over much quicker

Defense for all tree's.


For Jedi we need to be a part of the system we play in, not treated under another ruleset. If we are, we can never be balanced.


A full Master Defender template should roughly reach 350-400 Defense (850-900 with Aura).

A full non-defender template should roughly reach 200-250 Defense.



BrawlerProfessions
Brawler get 75 Melee Defense, 55 Ranged Defense. The tanks such as TKA/Pikeman have a extra high General Defense that's only offered while you have the specific weapon equipped. All Brawler professions have 48% armor.

For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

First off i would like to say congrads on the postion )!!!!


My top 5 wish list is as follows:


1.Make Vis. so Jedi can not get it while grouped.


2.Allow lightsabers to do more damage


3.Fix old crystals from the village. (the focus crystals that originally healed mind now post CU heal health) if you have an old one your screwed


4.Enforce strict penalties on Jedi who pvp in Npc cities and act un Jedi like


5.Introduce a Jedi , Padiwan relationship


Ok i just need to rant a little bit........


Ok heres my deal. Ive played Swg since launch, my main goal since day one was to get jedi. Two years later (yeah iam a slacker) i finally get Jedi, only to find out the templete i just used to grind Jedi is better than Jedi it self.I hear a lot of people in the forums complaining about Bh's and Jedi being to weak, and i agree!!!If you ask me the Vis. system is horriable!!!I go out hunting and try to gain experiance for my charecter and as a result have to watch for a or 5 Bh's who are coming to kill me, just because they respeced to Bh knowing they dont have the paitence to become a jedi and never will be.(Dont get me wrong some people enjoy BH, but a lot of people only did it cus they cant be a jedi)On top of this once the Bh locates and kills my Padiwan i loose experiance.It dosnt make sense to me. Jedi are suppose to be powerfull, they are suppose to be better than the average person, but with that comes responsibilty.The responsibilty is not to abuse your powers!!!I feel that those who abuse there powers in public should be the ones who have BH's coming afterand not those who refrain from dueling in Public, or perform other Jedi actions in Npc cities.So now i have no choice other than just play my alt, since my padiwan cant step foot out of his house with out being ganked.SOE needs to make some serious changes to Jedi and Bh fast!!!!Iam sick of my charecter that took me 2 years to make running from a respec Bh who's charecter took him 2 weeks to make and 30secs to respec.This thread is for Jedi to read, if your a BH i could honstly care less about your opinon so dont waste your breath.


Ive also seen many Jedi reply to the threads concerning the same topics as mine, and just want to remind them, that most of them got Jedi before 9/10 players had respec'd to BH.It is funny running around in the game on my alt now i see very few crafters, just Jedi and Bh's.Not to mention everyone is force sensative.


Allow the Jedi to have there Glory , i feel as if the only people who should be able to hunt Jedi and win are Jedi themselves.Dark vrs Light, people who have worked equally as hard to develope their charecter.Not someone who was a tka/pike who woke up one day saw a respec button and said "well since ill never be jedi i might as well just kill them"


I use to be a Bounty Hunter , and i know Bh have been getting screwed since day one, and this is a good thing for them, but dont think the BH profession should be anywhere near as powerfull as Jedi is.Iam not saying i want Jedi to be God like, just dont want my charecter i spent two years working on to be shot down by someone who spent 2 weeks working on theirs.I feel much better being killed by a Jedi of the oppisite side of the force then a BH.

The real problem with LS damage is that it is now resisted. The whole CU balancing seems to be geared towards PvP. That's great is you are fully templated but falls apart when you are a padawan and need to grind. One solution to the LS damage issue would beto make it resistable in PvP only. PvP and PvE are so different, it's pretty much impossible to use a one size fits all solution. The big catch is that nearly all Jedi start out as PvE and gradually move towards PvP. This makes a difficult balancing act even more difficult. I learned a long time ago in programming, not to overload data, functions, logic, etc. If you have two distinct requirements, you need two separate, but integrated,solutions.

Since every whining and screaming nonjedi got us nerfed into an elite profession, remove jedi from the GCW. Give us our own factions Light vs Dark. Then actually make us decent again.

50% damage reduced so that when holding two of them its balanced damage wise and its only for show

Elminate visibility obtained from grinding in a group. At this rate, the game will be extinct by the time I get done with my grinding. I would like to play the game sometime instead of grind my toon for the next year and constantly losing xp to bounty hunters. One of the intentions of the CU was to promote group activities, which is fine with me. But jedi visibility rules force jedis to go solo still, keeping it an online single player game.

1 - Damage on sabers needs to at least be on line with other elite master professions.


2 - No Visibility from same faction/group


3 - Master/Padawan relationship


4 - Fix Broken FS Skills, make them mean something


5 - Help the low Paddys grind solo

1) Lower Population- Make other players go wow! look at a jedi again.


2) Lightsaber Styles- All Jedi have a different LIghtsaber Styles You should be able to pick or switch sytles in combat.

3) Have Sith fight be able to openly attack other Sith as this is Realstic to the Star Wars Universe because Sith want to be all powerful. Sith Should also Openly be able to attack Jedi and Jedi Openly be able to attack Sith.
