all i use is paint to get my images on to image dump, it does the job.

Someone posted the stats above. It is only like a 1500 damage saber, but their CL level above you makes them hit really hard.
NPC's aren't limited by the max damage cap of their weapon like we are. So they continue to get a bonus for each CL level above you. So if you are level 80 and they are 500, that is a 420 level difference. They will hit for a minimum of about 15k or so.
