I had the best tune ever. Mind you this was only a quality crystal but it tuned like this -3/-3 damage +0.0X (can't remeber the exact number to speed and it was +2FC, that's right it actually added to my force cost.
This is the only one I have had this bad but I laughed hard when I tuned it. My best was on a fair crystal and was something like +26/+26 dmg,-0.16 spd, and -8FC. I know not the best of crystals but it is my best lol.
I have tuned about 30 or so crystals now and most end up almost flat i.e. +/- 1-3 in the various stats (except spd). I figured it was because I am a new Jedi and didn't know if there was a hidden skill adjustment for tuning skills based on your standing (initiate-Knight).
I have never bought one of the outrageously (IMO) priced crystals or pearls and I probably will not ever. I figure it is better for me to use my other character slot to get crystals and other loot anyway.

I tuned my best premium when I was only a noob Jedi about 6 FC -9 (damage 20-50). Those 6 I got from tuning about 10 premium!
Afterwards I have tuned mabye 15-20 more premiums and only gotten 3 FC -9 ( the last 9 premium I tuned was so crappy - that they are actually unusable for me )
ps I dont tune premium anymore - before this bug is fixed

How about the fact that pub 9 was supposed to help lower the cost of crystals for us and make them more readily available, but instead, at least on my server, people are again paying 6 mil for them, only now the tune is random and you can get crap for your 6 mil. At least before you knew you were gettin somethin good for your fortune.

My brother hastuned all crystals and pearlsto 0/0 damage, -0.0x speed and 0 Force cost, no matter if premium, good, fair, poor quality. This has been happening approximately since publish 10 hit live. He is master lightsaberist, by the way with all but 1 skillpoint spent on Jedi skills. Do you think his character is hopelessly bugged?
Though Ihave tuned a 0/0 damage -0.01 speed, 0 FC premium crystal myself, my other crystals usually turn up a randomnegative force cost ranging from -3 to -6 with okay damage in the twenties or thirties. His crystals, however, always tune into 0/0 damage 0 FC pieces of crap, no matter what quality.
Something is fishy here, but what it is, I don't know. No help from CSRs either, only'We are sorry...' standard responses.

well as several CSR and SonGouki has confirmed - some jedi are bugged in the tuning process. so ya hes hopelessly bugged
Hope the Devs will do something about this soon ....
and I hate those "we are sorry...." replies

I belive the tuning system is still broken, lately I have wasted a furtune on chrystals/pearls Fairs, goods, quality, premiums all the tunes seems so random, best one I got is a 30-30 -9 from a premium but 95% of themI destroyed right away ...tuned about 70 chrystals in the last 2 weeks just to get a few semi-good ones that can be used for grinding.

Sometimes I think that the "to-many-chrystals-in-a-saber" exploit is the reson tunes have gone bad, think about it, at the same time as the saber exploit was discovred the tunes of chrystals became utter crap.
The devs should put a guy to go through all the sabers and just deleate any exploited sabers they find and suspend the account for a couple of weeks, they could rid the servers from this in a week if they wanted to!
Instead they are punishing the whole community whitch I think if an outrage.

could be the reason for the bad tuning - or the Devs don't know how to program this game..
and the CSR donno how to help people
about the Exeptional premium pearl - I totally understand that you don't wanna tune it - I have 5 prems atm- and don't dare tuning em...

Brought 2 qualitys and 3 goods off a friend.
Got:
+50, +50, -1fc off one good
both qualitys gave me +12, +12, -3fc
May use the +50, +50 for special arse whippings

try tuning 3 flawless pearls and a flawless crystal and only getting one -9 out of all of them
one of them actually gave me a posotive to force cost... flawed? yes, i think so.

ya the system seems broken - flawless should always tune 50 -9 !
