Thread: Make the Positive Jedi XP Cap equivelent to the Negative PLEASE!
I guess im on the 0 negative xp bandwagon.
Imo, negative xp is just another penalty Jedi suffer that other players do not. I don't think we should get rid of xp loss. I don't think we should get rid of visibility (frankly, it adds a unique roleplay feature for those who want it), and I don't think we should get rid of player bounties. Don't increase Jedi xp and don't make the village any easier. Fine.
Negative xp is just stupid. No other profession in the game even comes close to anything resembling this. It causes greifing, is probably the main factor of Jedi hatred for BH's, and just forces Jedi to do exactly what everyone complains about...get back out there with their robes and saber and "show off" again.
Remove negative xp. Or, if you must have it, set it to whatever the maximum total for one BH kill is. That way, Jedi only have to work off one BH attack at a time. And like visibility, there will be an option to avoid the penatly. If you train skills often enough, you cant get attacked by multiple bh's in one night and lose mass amounts of xp.
I'd like to see a balancing of the penalties for failure applied equally to both BH's & Jedi. As a padawan with not enough game time to grind effectively, I really dont like the idea of negative xp, but hey, its a good motivation for me to avoid viz, so that works. So how about we apply an equal 'motivation' to the BH's too. Perhaps a three-strike rule, if they fail three Jedi player bounties they loose MBH &/or some xp to stop them getting the skill straight back, or how about they loose in credits the amount the jedi would loose in xp? with the ability to go negative credit balance? (or maybe they loose a limb which cant be re-grown or replaced by enhanced cyber-limb for 3weeks, lol joking
)
Anyways, much as I would love tp see negative xp removed to make my life easier, I would prefer to see BH's sharing the same level of risk as we do.
To quote myself from a earlier post
Yes, we chose this path and therefore we must accept the conditions that go along with it. But in no way should Jedi be given anymore of a break than they already have. I think in fact it should be tougher. Not perma death, not skill box loss. The XP loss on death should be more severe . Some Jedi are so dense, they don't understand that its the high cost of death that enables us to keep the edge we have. Ifthey removed all forms ofXP loss ( the only remaining penalty for death) then we will be getting just that much closer to seeing Jedi becoming a starting profession. Use your headsJedi, stop complainingand realize that by doing so yourfashioning your own nerf......
As far as increasing the xp cap.....sure, why not?

well, it would at least give us maxed guys something to do and even help grinders in the process.
our Negative aspect of exp should match our positive...whether it be at 10M or 4M, either way.

I think xp loss should be removed. At the moment it doesn't really stop anyone from becoming a full-temp. It might stop us for a few more days, it might annoy us, but it doesn't slow us really down. If there was no risk of xp loss, all jedi would stay and fight with a BH, they wouldn't cry for nerfs. The problem is that the system could be abused
Would you like us to give you a massage while your grinding now? I mean hell, why don't you GIVE you free XP...
Actually, a massage would be nice, could you? I get tense seeing all those dead pikets, dunno why.

Why is it that I can only have 4 Million Jedi XP banked , but can be Negative 10 Million in the hole!?
I don't want this to be a "petition" thread or anything I just want to know if people agree with me on this? Why shouldn't I be able to counter BH death by getting + XP?
So in other words...
SOE please make it so we have 10 mil CAP on both pos & neg xp. If not that thenMAX 4 mil negative xp (so it evens out). Please make this fair. Thank You.
I agree. this would be very fair I think.
