Old man- I'm master(dont know any jedi masters so well call him qi) qi, I once lived in the time when jedi order where defenders of the republic.
Shifu- I read books on jedi, sound cool, but a fake sotry.
Master qi- Suddenly Master qi knocks you down useing the force.
Shifu-* I get up shaken* How did you do this.
Master qi- Youg padwan. You have much to learn.
Master qi- I'm here to assit you in your journey threw Padwan.
Master qi- I can give you tasks to earn exp or gain jedi artifacts.
Shifu- when can I take these tasks?
Master qi- As soon as you like, young one. Be warned these will not be easy and are very challengeing. And once you become more skilled in the lightsaber, I will give you new and more challengeing tasks
Someting like this would work too. Then after you complete his tasks, The Old man(master qi) would give you acess to his hut. Which would be a safe house somewhere. And he could be a Jedi trainer for every jedi.
For the knight trails he could be like this. A good way to decide which side you are on.
After completing the knight trials. The old man appears (master qi)
Master qi- shifu, You have become one with the force indeed and your skill in the lightsaber has improved vastly.
Master qi- Duel me.
Master qi would be 100% to everything execpt light saber and have 150k ham.
Shifu- Are you serious old man.
Master qi- *Throws a bolt of lighting at you*.
Ok you duel him and when you incap him. Under the Target recticule, there would be an option to heal useing to force or deathblow. If you heal master qi you get into the light FRS, if you deathblow him You get into the dark Frs.

To PikemanAreRarerThanJedi's idea about the old man. Nice concept. I like it. Every padawan should have a master to learn from whether it is a higher ranked player or an npc. If it's an npc it should be randomly generated for each player so that we don't end up having 500 players hanging out in one place making the poor npc spin trying to keep up to everyone clicking on him.

another good idea, but like most things in jedi i dont see it happening, we had our 2 releases remember, these 2 release made jedi better and implemented all the things that we asked for remember !(NOT)

sounds good and i hope it will go live somehow ,doesnt have to be exactly the same just the general idea,will help all the jedies a lot
just 1 more thing : if a jedi makes a robe he is the only 1 that can wear it

they are nice ideas but i have some problems with it. give any color robe or style and they are still robes. people will still mutter "there are too many jedi" while you wait for a shuttle. it would be nice but over all it is unneeded content. you will still be easily identified as a jedi. also, these jedi artifacts are to be looted. big problem here as killing npcs with force powers or lightsabers gives visibility. the trade off is not worth it (bh hunted or xp loss compared to +1-5 jedi toughness for limited time). and if its a loot item, that means nonjedi will be looting it and selling them for millions, causing more jedi characters to be poor and the economy being more unstable.
if we did get sockets in the robes, imagine the bugs that possibly would surface. someone overstocking the robes like this saber exploit, or say you overstock it on accident like backpacks sometimes do and then you get stuck and cannot move your character, easy pickings for a bh that is hunting you. and to have decay on them would mean more time spent hunting for them.
i really like the idea of quests. darkside and lightside quests would be a good addition but maybe for the rewards we could have permanent bonuses to your character or maybe extra jedi xp. the reward should fit the difficulty of the mission. they should be instanced so no others can help.
instead of all of this, i would rather just have some basic protections. the robes were supposed to be comprable to composite armor and backpacks give more protection. instead of calling them jedi robes, they should have named them jedi placebos. everyday in a solo group i hear someone mention that the robes give protection and then every person with a jedi in the group has to set this person straight from their soe brainwashing. even a little protection would be nice but not so low as to let armor piercing weapons do more damage to you than without the protections.
i do like the ideas that were posted by pikemanarerarerthanjedi, but i would rather just keep things simple.

yea its good!! like it but would we also be able to craft different type of robes... i mean so we don't all look alike(sorry if this was in post im tired and i havn't coffe in 10 min!)

yeah having jedis in pink robes would make them look like a joke instead of a hero i think they are fine the way they are you dont have to wear them anyway if you dont like them. You just dont get the force regain right?

The pink and purple jedi would be teh pimps. Instead of a lightsaber they would have a cane.Instead of force powers they would have several different kinds of smacks.
