Thread: All Species Should Be able to wear New Cloaks!!!
no way /notsigned
Give wookiees a 5% innate action regen bonus
Give Ithorians a 5% innate mind regen bonus
Do not let them wear Clone armor and Jedi Robes OR cloaks .. to do so is just silly
Wookiees are lucky to walk upright , ithorians should be happy they arent being turned on a spit by a wookiee tribe
KNOW YOUR ROLE
Wookiees dont wear clothing, giving in on armor was pandoras box , wookiees should have had Innate armor period , not look like some post appocalyptic samurai trashcan =(
<3 Wookiees , its for your own good

You should watch EP3 when it comes out on the 1st.
Because I saw wooks wearing all types of clothing and armor.
Chewie is the EXCEPTION to wooks and cloths, NOT the rule.
first off when i created my toon it was preCU i had no idea. i didn't really care about armor, but i tried to make a new jedi character since they changed the jedi system and i missed the unlocking period by 3 weeks into pub 10 i got hosed. i'm smart not dumb your logic just makes you look like someone with a superiority complex i don't ask for special treatment just equal treatment
I am not trying to call anyone dumb, I am just asking whether or not they nerfed you and now you want equality. Because if they never nerfed you then you ARE equal to all the other people that chose to play that species with those limitations. The only reason I say this is because as soon as I rolled my first wookie and found out that I was limited to what I could wear - I immediately deleted him and recreated another toon as human specifically because I knew these limitations were not for me. Wookies are cool, but not cool enough to live with their limitations, therfor instead of asking them to change something that has ALWAYS been, I simply live with what is there.
I bet if your thread results in over 300 pages like the XP NERF they implemented did back in Pub 19 you would get some attention. Good luck on that tho.
Also in regards to you getting hosed by publish changes on how to obtain Jedi - I hear you there - that does suck. Those kinds of nerfs/changes are always tough to deal with. The only thing I was questioning was the mere fact that "Haven't wookies always had clothing limitations?"
Added comments --------------------------
You know what I did not think about at all while sayin this was - everything I have said so far I believe to be accurate I dont think they should change clothing limitations. But one of the things I did not mention and really should have is that "I really think if they want to limit what you can wear, and they don't want you wearing these new cloaks, then they should have come out with new WOOKIE cloaks specifically for you wooks out there.
I am all for them ADDING new content, but no need in changing what has always been. That should clear up my singlesidedness attitude. Was not meaning to be singlesided, just provided a gripe with no solution. Now I provided my gripe withmy idea of aproposed solution.

I'd like to make a few quick points:
1) When the game first went live, there was no indication that the Wookiee clothing restrictions would be a significant factor. We didn't even know BE mods were around. Jedi did not exist, jedi mods sure as heck did not exist, and there was no way to know if and when either of these things would ever exist to any significant degree. This is the timeline to when many of these Wookiees were created.
2) We DID know that we had ugly clothing and no armor. This was acceptable.
3) When jedi came into being, your alt became the jedi. New race; no need to worry about your main being second-class to the developers because they require extra coding (oh no! not what we pay you for!).
4) Padawan Robes fit to the Wookiee model......
And lastly, and less importantly, but I enjoy it nonetheless.... 5) Blizzard has8 seperate racial models to fit armor and weapons to in WoW... And they have added at least1 new set of armor for eachclass (each race having at least 4 classes)in every major patch. Sony has 3.
Your post is informative, and now the gripes and complaints from people make a bit more sense.
/sign, and i have an Idea that will help the Wookies and the Ithorians, along with making each jedi look different... it is here:

Sorry.... i haven't passed CLICKY 101 yet
When most people are creating their first character, they have no clue about the game. There is no way to know that clothing will any affect on gameplay, unless you've already been playing for a while, which, a person creating their first toon, by definition, has not done.
I suppose it's one thing to assume that not having armor could be a problem in a game with combat, but who guess that not being able to wear gloves or robe would screw over your character?
Many moons later, SOE decides to put more things in the game that would obviously be critical to certain population of players and then proceed to lock out a significant portion of those players with rules that they devised and have complete control over.
So who is wrong here? The players? Or SOE for punishing players with their own arbitrary rules?

1. Wookiee has 2 e's in it, not 1.
2. There's no reason whatsoever wookiees shouldn't be allowed to wear a cloak. Fine though... if we can't wear cloaks I demand a cape.
3. Wookiees rule.
yes another useless item that i also got. trust me i normally dont' whine and complain like i see a lot of people do in these forums, i would just like some fairness and logic used in giving out quest rewards
