Thread: Guide to victory against Bounty Hunter

Great suggestions in this guide and I think it definately deserves a sticky.

Booster Blue, ONLY spice to use.
When he gets upset, he is more likely to make a mistake.
But no trash talking.
GREAT GUIDE
I would like to add that 'Ruby Bliel' helps allot aswel, it cuts the stim timer down to 30 seconds i think, very usefull when used in between or instead of force heal.
If you have improved force aura you wil probably find that stims and Ruby are enough so you can use your force for offense ![]()
Foods/drink:
Pikatta Pie: for those that don't have mdef, this food can be a lifesaver. Good pikatta pie lasts about 25mins and grants over +50 dodge bonus. Its not dodge like the old pre-cu skill but rather a flat "to-hit" chance. I've had rifleman miss me ¾ of the time due to this food. In fact in some fights BH's have never managed to outdamage force infusion because they keep missing.
Synthsteak: another vital food. Only lasts about 40 seconds but grants a huge damage mitigation. Perfect for the heat of a fight if your taking too much damage, this will reduce incoming damage by over 50%, which means for 40 seconds you wont heal as much, which helps conserve force and mind. Perfect if you find yourself doing nothing but healing, gives you a chance to both go on the offence and let your mind recover a bit.
Ruby bliel: I'm sure its already been mention, but if you plan on using good stims, this is a must. It allows you to use stims every 30seconds rather than 60.
Combat:
- Learn your opponents combat styles. If they like to use roots all the time, counter this. Wait till their root is about to wear off, and apply your own.
- Bleed works well in pvp. Sure the damage isn't much, but it's a good counter to natural health regen.
- If you notice that your opponent goes through their action pool quite quickly, wait till their action is at around 20% or so. Before you KD. If done right they wont have enough action to instantly kd recover.
- Remember non-jedi CANNOT heal while KD'd. use this to your advantage. Get them down to around 50% health then KD them and use your heavy damage attacks.
- Carry a good CL54 rifle with you. If your opponent is a fan of rooting you and standing out of saber throw range. Pull out a rifle and shoot back. Ideally a Kinetic rifle, such as a berserker, since BH's gear themselves to resist energy. A number of times, I've pulled out my berserker and shot the BH for around 500. The long term damage may not be great, but it's a great tactic to upset your opponents standard tactics. Some in-experienced BH's have been totally confused by such a tactic.
- Good force management is vital for long fights. Channel force should never be used when your force is low and your getting desperate. Use it at the start to keep your force up. Normally at this point in a fight your ham should be high enough due to food buffs that you wont miss the loss from channel

I must defend myself against his attacks and try to explain him, that he is doing wrong, and hunting other players is bad. If he wont listen to the words of truth, that it is not the money it counts but life, well do what you must to, try to incapacitate him and spare his life, if he got honor he will quit, if he will keep attacking, well his soul istruly evil, as a jedi,i must defend galaxy against such scums.
I would never suggest getting this much into the role playing. If they stand up they can heal again and go for another round kiteing you until your force is gone. And besides, Did Obi-Wan and Yoda ask the clones to go to the path of the Light side when they were shot at? lol. Just kill them, they want you dead and you must do what you must to defend yourself and also don't get cocky like all the darkies and go for a triple incap, my bh has gotten many kills because they chose not to db instantly.
I also must suggest /follow on some bhs.

Another use for this is if your opponent likes to concussion or pharlyze when things aren't looking well is you can keep a small weak creature aggro'd on you to stop the effect or have a friend apply a bleed on you.

This is not true, you can stim on the ground and eat ruby bliel on the ground.

This is getting nerfed, we found the evidence in the .tre files, when you pull out a weapon that is not a LS you cannot use any jedi skill, such as healing, applying infusion, applying aura, lighteining. This might be a very bad idea in the near future.
Fear not the bh. When A BH comes stand strong and be confident, even in the idea of getting ready to run, be confident. They are not uber, they are players just like you and me.
