Um, it's actually very hard. Because the Jedi is out and searching for crystals/pearls, it's a fair(more than fair, this is fact) assumption that they are trying to get better components because their current ones are less than amazing. They are accumulating massive amounts of visibility in doing this...even going to kill Krayts means you have a huge chance of random passer-by's giving it to you or the plenty of NPCs which spawn everywhere. This means as soon as a BH gets to you, good night. Second, ittakes a huge amount of crystals and pearls to get a 'decent' tune. When I say decent, I mean something that will do a little bit of damage...noting that the force cost is going to be terrible. Decent as in 100+ -3 to -5fc...a saber full of that is what many new Jedi can only hope for. And it takes a lot. Even quality crystals I have tuned give 33damage -4 fc. It took about 40 tunes for me before my friend whom I was giving the loot to got a 'good' pearl at 91 damage. This is no easy task at all. People are working for it, but the system is fundamantally flawed and screwing them over. Sometimes I would have to question whether the tons of hours spent getting this loot is worth it in the end when you're left with total junk. It may be more worthwhile to just have fun being super sub-par and save the energy. But please don't try to say that it just 'takes work' to get it good. It's impossible to get what veteran Jedi had, and very difficult to even become decent bounty hunter food and put up a little bit of a fight.
