i dont remember them saying it is the path to unlocking your jedi sensitive character slot

Certainly sounds to me like they're planning on changing how you become a jedi."

They mention "becoming a jedi" , An Initiate or padawan are no Jedi's yet but are in process of becoming one.

+ They also mentioned that they add quests for jedi's in the future, well which are these...

System is not changing so Keep on the holo grind!

i would just add that, when the first FS character appeared, Q-3po's post was "It happened, the first Jedi has appeared" not "It's happened:the first FS character has appeared. Begore the appearance of monica, when it was unknown whether or not all FS slots were Jedi or if thee were other things you could do with force sensitivity, the devs used the words FS slot. Since Monica, the terms "Jedi" and "FS Character"have become synonomous, and both have been used on different occasions to refer to the FS slot. What is clear is that this is confusing, and should be clarified. I don't know about the rest of you, but as a casual player that wishes hehad time to powergame, and has been doing holo professions since they came out (only on my eighth, but i work and coach and have kids, so...) i'd be a little upset since my Master Commando/ Master Gunfighter template has been changred to Master ranger then Master Chef/Master MErchant due to two extremely unlucky holocron suggestions (c'mon, chef, then merchant? Ok, i do love the chef, but honestly...which professions did you consider the most worthless? Chef and Merchant, probably... but Chef Rocks, so )

ok someone wanted a bit of proof, or a "history lesson of sorts" so here is my attempt at some history teaching, in an interview with Dan Rubenfield on Dec. 20, 2003, Gamespy asked this:

GameSpy: There's been some confusion over what the "Force-Sensitive Character Slot" is. Many people thought that a Force-sensitive character would have build up toward becoming a Jedi. Do you automatically become a Jedi when you create a character using that slot?

Dan Rubenfeld: When you open a FSCS, the character you create using that slot immediately gains access to a "Padawan" level skill tree. This is the only skill tree available to you, but it gives you some basic Force powers and the ability to craft your own lightsaber. You progress through the skill tree just like all other skill trees -- by earning the appropriate experience. Eventually, you "graduate" from the Padawan tree to a Jedi Knight (or Dark Jedi Knight) path.

Well there you have it. padawan is not a jedi, they "progress" through the path to jedi through earning appropriate XP. (and now with patch 6 specific quests, etc)

Not the person trying to be a jedi or open his slot .... hmmm i think they have some explaining to do no less... you would think they would be more percise on their explanation of changes as big as these

You guys are soooo stupid. Anyone who is a jedi or has become force sensitive will lose it all. They are re-building the entire Jedi system and everything connected with it.

Holocrons will be useless and are useless right now. What is the point of trying to be force sensitive now?

Your efforts will be recognized by some badge or something. All you Jedi out there and all you force sensitive people will have to start all over again!

You people are living in denial. The facts are clear. It's game over for you jedi. That means:

Return to Go, Do not pass, Do not collect $200

Effort and Recognition were the two key words to this whole Jedi annoucement. Why in the world would they recognize you for your Jedi efforts if they were not going to take it away from you?

Read the above two sentences again schmucks!
