Thread: New Testing Involving Jedi Accuracy CAs
Excellent work guys ![]()
And what comes to speed tapes i believe that the right assumption is,
GET accuracy first, and after that if you feel up to it (and have the spare creds to spend)
get speed to compensate unless you're anMLS already..
And for teh flamers they should make their own forum where they could 1337-speak each other
to boredom.. ![]()
hmm never saw this data before i posted in the other thread however here is were your data is flawed ![]()
a jedi with only 0400 or any of the styles only to fourth box is lacking the following +25 specific weapon speed and acuracy and i believe +15 general speed and acuracy
the more accuracy or speed or defence for that matter you have the less you will notice +25 so you mls's useing ca's you are wasting them but like most jedis have figured out you can go without mls and the only loss you lose is dervish and knockdown sabre throw if you have the right ca's
i have a ten point sabre crafted as mls thanks to +25 ls exp tape suit
and i hit as fast and as hard as mls thanks to my +25 specific acc and speed the only thing i am lacking is a little general speed and accuracy due to the mabari belt nerf ![]()

There's no flaw in the data, bud. We weren't out to prove template-specific benefits, we were out to prove whether or not accuracy tapes were worth the time and money to get them. They are. Even at MLS the accuracy boost of just +20 makes a very, very noticable difference which we statistically demonstrated.

well said. I was just reviewing the title of this Thread which said "New testing Involving Jedi Accuracy CAs".
Nice work Metal. /deepbow
This confirms what I have thought all along - the accuracy tapes are much better value for money than the speed tapes.
If your accuracy is at +200 or so, a +25 tape will give you a 10% improvement in the number of times you do damage, and therefore +10% to your dps (not displayed dps but ACTUAL dps), while a +25 speed tape may hit the speed cap at MLS, and even if it doesn't, probably won't give you a +10% increase in speed ![]()
Also, since the speed modsare not working apart from basic saber hit, your speed tapes don't actually benefit you AT ALL at the moment...!
... Which makes me wonder why (on Corbantis at least) the speed tapes go for higher prices on the trade forums..?

They go for more because many mistakenly believe DPS is the end-all of combat. They add a +10 speed tape in and see their DPS go from say 600 to 610 and get all excited thinking that they're now doing more damage per second. They'd be right if modified speed was currently working properly, but it is not. Yet these still sell because they can "see" the difference and accuracy is harder to detect as we had to do comprehensive tests to prove it was viable.
Amazing ! Great work bro. ![]()
ya get five of these thingys:

well said Rake. I for one am baffled too that people are still forking over large sums of money for spd tapes. To each his own.
