I've got a 915 max PH anda PvP rating obtainedbefore i got thesethat says otherwise. DoTs just give me an extra edge against CMs and multiple jedi. The rebellion is currently outnumbered and outgunned on Intrepid, and all these are doing is insuring my survival.

I don't care about your hammer or your PVP rating, DoTs suck and DoT users suck. DoTs ruin this game, DoTs give noobs a chance.

By noob I'm not talking about new players just loading into Espa, I'm talking about these people that PVP that are horrible, 1-shot quiters, don't weararmor, have 400-400-1000 HAM. Then they loot/buy a 600 tick mind fire weapon, then they use that to kill people. DoTing/warcrying, DoTing/running to water whatever they do, they are noobs. Of course you can beat people that use DoTs, your template is built around healing DoTs, you have 4030 doctor with master HS/master brawler. You claim to hate DoTs, but you use 700 tick DoTs, its a hypocrisy.

You can give a noob a dot weapon but he can't pvp with it. If you can't beat a noob with a dot weapon no matter how good then there is something wrong /shrug. Maybe you should learn how to pvp before you go around making statements like this. I have to deal with the 2 800 mind/action fire daggers I posted about earlier, and I can beat either of the people using them w/o using dots myself.
That said, I hope all dots are taken out of the game, but until they are we all have to deal with them. I try to limit my use of these by self-control and only using them in certain situations... But like hell I'm gonna let a bunch of imps kill me just because they have a CM (in addition to the 2 jedi and the 3 TEFing riflemen that I could beat w/o dots).
One of the worst things about pvp now is that it's restricted to the elite. The rich. The best of the best. If noobs could only get into pvp without using dots and not get utterly slaughtered, then maybe this game would be better off eh? Oh well, you can hold on to your elitest dreams all you want, it'll all change soon.

Hi ... it's me again. I know most of you wont remember me .. but for whatever reason I decided to check the forums today ... and ... omg! (I've been away for a while)
on the one hand: I'm a bit sad that we're now in a class system and the unique dabblerpotential of our character builds are gone.
on the other hand: if that's what it takes to make an energetic STAR WARS environment ... so be it
... but it's definatelynot the same game ... not saying thats a bad thing ... but it's not.
on the one hand: I'm a bit sad that the player based economy wont be so much player based any more...
on the other hand: the player based economy always sucked anyway ... (much to my disappointment)
on the one hand: I *HATE* that jedi will be a starting profession ...
on the other hand ... I'd probably hate jedi anyway. (I have an old school Jedi so I feel ok saying that)
on the one hand: I'm sad that there are so few profession
on the other hand: ... clearly we need a more focused area for dev attention.
on the one hand: I'm concerned that the only option to reroll apparently involves the delete .... feature.
on the other hand: ... no ... this one pretty much just stinks .... here's hoping they fix that.
... still reading up on all the changes ... Mixed feelings. Some things I really liked about the origional SWG concept are gone ... but the origional SWG concept just hasnt worked in a long long time ... so willing to start from scratch if it means reaching some of that potential.
Smugglers ... smuggling? ... novel idea.
At least being 1/9 we'll have greater numbers and less competing professions should they somehow slight us again.
