Only difference being in the movies they were killed my entire squads of troopers, or the ultimate Jedi ever, Vader.

In SWG most of us can be killed by a single BH/CM or a DOC/TKM. And they don't even have to win the fight, just keep healing themsleves long enough for our force to go to 0.

And I'm not so sure our robes are 'that' cool. I would like to have a nice pink one, or maybe one with a cloak behind it. *smile*

I guess you're technically right they don't.

But if they don't get anything special, why did many of us spend a year of grind to become one. If they aren't going to be special, just make it a regular profession then.

And when we talk about 1yr grind, not only was there the Unlock Grind, but Post9, was the FS tree grind, and then once Jedi if you got your template in 2-3months you had some serious time on your hands to devote to the game. Pre CU- Jedit XP was not as easy, getting 200-300K a day was doing some hard grinding.

And when we were doing all of this Jedi were 'special', so after selling us on Jedi and the game and our time and money, it isn't too much to ask to at least have something 'special'. Why should I live in a SWG world, where someone can buy the game tomorrow and in a week kick my character's butt. (Not saying it is quite that easy, but I'm not far off.)

Can you go buy Wow or Matrix and in the first week kill a level 40 character? I would hope not... Why can it be done in SWG then?

In a way we were sold jedi by fraud. "Here work hard to become the ultimate character, and oh now that you have it, we are going to make it hte same as the rest. Sorry you wasted your time..." Again not fair.

But I am serious about this thread, prove that Jedi are better than any other profession or have some ability no other profession has. Even if it is scaring an animal away with your mind.

In the movies Jedi had enormous potential and different abilities, as they also have in other Jedi based games. Why does SWG make Jedi tremedously hard to get, a lot of work, then leave the customer with nothing more than a pretty stick and not one single ability that someone that bought the game a week ago can obtain.
