One other suggestion...

Until the FRS everyone is stuck with a lame Jedi Padawan or Initiate title.

I know someone already made a big post for suggested titles, but what about just simple ones like the little icons? Jedi Defender...Jedi Enhancer...*shrug* That'd be better than Padawan and Initiate to me. It'd be nice to have...very simple change.

Truly a good starting point for an idea. I agree the current reward/loot crystals should be excluded.

I don't think it should be a precise formula to say trade 3 colors for a named one. Let it all be random. Put any 3 pearls of any quality in and you get a new pearl which can range anywhere from fair to flawless. Make it a game of chance. Ditto with the color crystals. You're gonna get a color crystal back but it might be brown it might be a special named one.

As for the robes basing it on a master box is a great idea. And while on that how about giving us our titles back with 4th lvl and master boxes.

Why would you ever trade it 3 premiums in the 1st place? Odds are 2 of the 3 will tune better then a flawless anyway biwan:

How about if you traded in 3 tuned pearls and got a random untuned one back?

Ooh... I like this idea too.

I don't know if using already-tuned crystals would work though - they don't have quality ratings after they are tuned... I'd had fair crystals that tuned better than goods.

i like it, but still would like to be able to get crystals through loot. paying a million just for a quality crystal is getting out of hand.

this actually is a very Star Warsy idea...but I think that it should be a little more harder than just 3 dark blues to get the Kenobi crystal. Should be a special crystal or maybe even a premium crystal combined with 2 dark blues...something a little more challenging for such a reward. But seriously...DEVs think about it...it's sound and it doesn't change the game drastically. Jedi will still need to farm krayt or FS NPC's to find crystals...but at least give Jedi a real purpose for it.

It's much better than the pray you don't get killed by krayt, pray you get loot, pray loot is a pearl, pray it doesn't tune like crap. SWG has made me a religious man.

This won't cause a huge differance for newbie jedi. It's a good idea, but considering good pearls go for 500k+, aflawless will still be worth 81 good pearls. Sorry, but thats 40.5 mil, not a big differance considering what they go for now that they don't drop at all. At 2x per upgrade it's reasonable cause that makes it:

2x good = 1 quality

4x good = 1 select

8x good = 1 premium

16x good = 1 flawless

instead of:

3x good = 1 quality

9x good = 1 select

27x good = 1 premium

81x good = 1 flawless

As far as color crystals are concerned, if the art for them is done, I 100% agree.
