all i have to say about the poster is LOLOCAUST i bought a brand new game and gound out a jedi in 60days with all but one unlock AND I GET ALL THE REWARDS WITH HIM AS WELL AS MY PRE CU JEDI AHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

i hate to be a pre 9 jedi that doesnt agree with u there...i could char less about elder it does me no good.....but there is alot of talk about the village being so much easier then professions...i for one was happy i opened the old way...cause by the time i was almost done thru a profession and so bored out my mind i atleast had something new to do then grind FS xp with just rifleman..yes afk grinding sucks i understand all that but i know plenty of pre pub 9 jedi that afk macroed...crafting professions also with a third part program .....my point being we need to stop arguing with each other elder status is nothing but a title...th aboutthink people that are hurting worst then use jedi...The Ch'S are some of them...i for one know if i had my professions taken away from me i would leave..i withh try the new system waiting for test to start right now...but jedi on jedi arguing needs to stop....u guys can all flame me...dont hurt me either

they should have at least all the skill points used for jedi boxes....no dabblers, and unlock dates pre cu.

It all comes down to people feeling their efforts are not being rewarded. The ones thatdo not have the "Vet" jedi accounts do not appreciate the effort it took so they lash back with other things like "I pay the same as you" and such.

I think both sides need to realize something. First, vets need to understand that life is not always fair and adjustments always come. Believe me its a bitter pill for me. Second, non jedi or brand new jedi need to understand thatifyou put in the same effort and then got a huge setback that you would be upset as well. This is not a small undertaking but a huge time investment we are talking about here. We are not talking about a day or week, its months and months of loyaltyto this game. The Vet outrage is reasonable given that.

So where do we go from here. Do we continue to take sides on this issue or put the blame where it needs to go and then decide what we want to do? I say put it where it needs to be and decide..

This is about respect.

Some of us took our time (raises hand), some of us rushed through. It's all relative you your own experience. Thereare aspects beyond the grinding that I personally took part in...exploring (literally roaming planets for weeks at a time without using towns), roleplaying, walking (when it's in character of a situation), exploring professions thoroughly(even during the holo period), PvPing for the good of your faction, etc etc.

There are severaltypes of players who went through different experiences. Personally, I had the carrot shifted several times, but stayed focused on my own destiny. Ultimately, after about 2 years, I finally reached my goal and what I consider the true beginning of my game. Becoming a Jedi IS to be earned, so it is difficult to respect those wholook fora handout.

To have it equalized is both understandable (from a SOE/U.S.A. money-driven perspective) and absolutely wrong at the same time. I'm not going to get too over-the-top about it until we see what it's really all about. I do applaud positive change, but the Jedi situation is a touchy one.

Ah... this thread is exactly why Jedi doesn't get along with each other, yes it sucks for those pre-pub 9 fellows and yes it was HARDER grinding professions since some of them required alot of credit to get by (Droid Eng, Arch, BE anyone?). The attitude of newer players calling the old vets punk and noob is only showing how much of a noob the newer ones are, shut the hell up- I am a day 1 player (my forum reg date is irrelevant) yet I unlocked after the village, but I unlocked 7 trees over the first 5 months of the village and took my time grinding FS xp and unlocked June 2005.

Ive had game since launch and desided to go jedi late in the game. I did do alot of the holo grind but never finished, and then did village, so why dont I deserve it cause I unlocked it mid 2005. Damn ppl, so much going on us Jedi need to stop attacking each other.

This is about the mostignorant post I have seen on the jedi forums today. People like you, pay their 15 dollars a month to play this game and should get the same stuff you (if they put in time and effort).

This is the reason they have changes like this cause it is always some fart mouth **edit** in the back ground spouting off about what someone else should or shouldn't have.
