You are probably correct on that one. If it ever comes out, I bet it is mostly quest based.

Well as I said before daytone. The devs said that the FRS would be a high end pvp content!!

The pvp community was always more concerned about their own power than fun for everybody.
You lost, and now the rest of us inherit everything you never worked for.

QFE!

Theres nothing more in this game that makes more heated discussion then PvP. And forced PvP is on top of it.

1.) GCW non-jedi complains that jedi owns them too easy. So remove them!
2.) Jedi/BH debates that we are too weak now for BHs/Jedi hiding in house/still overpowered etc.
3.) Jedi way too weak

You know, without the PvP many of the outcry about nerfs would never occured, because in most situations you will be fairly balanced for PvE. Its all about PvP the anguished screams about nerfs are about!

Way to solve it is to remove anything that forces PvP. You could instead give XP loss for free willed PvP, like in GCW, because this would reduce the number of jedi in the GCW! Maybe even PvE death too? Because anything that forces a player in a game, will be unhappy. YES. i know u accepted this when going jedi, but for many SW IS jedi! And they would like to have the CHANCE to PLAY jedi for FUN. Not to be hunted and forced into PvP. This makes people unhappy. Makes them maybe even quit. And this game needs more players. being it PvP lovers or haters! And everyone should have the chance to play Jedi - which is a crucial part of the SW universe.

There will always be PvP. Be it with jedi or non-jedi

None of you know a damn thing about risk of being a Jedi unless you've been clone camped pre9 for the ~week BH missions were working.

frs is doomed from the poor shape that the game is in nowand the saber situationbetween pre and post cu sabers makes the imbalance a greater factor than anything else. if they started the frs today, any post cu jedi wouldnt stand a chance because its the same old wait the force bar out game over and over again. you want to even things out in the game...get rid of the force bar because no matter how much you try to conserve it, its eventually going drain... make force intensitya progression of using up your skill points. the more boxes you use up the more powerful your use of the force is. for force to be a limiting factor is about one of the stupidest ideas soe came up with.

The discussion should really be about RvR, not PvP. PvP is about risk. It means you have less control of your gaming experience. There isn't really a way to add risk without incorporating it in PvP, as PvE is too predictable.

The problem is that the carebear community typically wants jedi to be more powerful than regular professions, but they don't want any additional risks. That jedi take longer to grind out is irrelevant. It comes without risk, and a trainedmonkey can do it in a few months.

SWG is unique in that it has (or could have) an alpha class. Casual gamers or non PvPers can choose to play regular profession, allowing them to integrate in the high end game within weeks, rather than after a year or two like in Everquest. And those that can and want to, can play jedi. That way, everyone can be happy!

PreCU when I was a noob Knight, I beat plenty of people with better Sabers when mine was crap. Sabers back then were FAR (probably 100x more important) in a 1 on 1 fight.

What I find the most disgusting about people not understanding the RvR is that as it stands for a Jedi, there is absolutely no risk. Thus, no reward. I would love to have some kind of risk as a Jedi. I will say one thing for the RvR point, though. They seemed to grasp that concept with ToOW pretty damned well.

And I give a damn thing about the pre9 risk too.

There should not be a risk having a profession in my opinion. There should be quite some work to get jedi, i agree, but the risk is out of date, and usually makes people leave.

People leave because we got nerfs all the time right. But since we got the risk, these nerfs make it pretty noteworthy, and forces ppl to leave.

I want a jedi profession. Balabnced 1:1 with all othher professions, so we could join into the GCW without getting complaints agains us. And to compensate for this we have no risks. Also, it should still take 6-12 months getting a jedi, and all the problems getting pearls/crystals etc. The only thing they should do is balance jedi to the other professions and then remove our nerfs. This way we will not be better then other, have a profession that takes a year to get, and since we will not be stronger then others, this will make less jedi since they see no reason spending 12 months getting a profession thats not stronger then a swordsman/rifleman etc.

Balance it and remove our risks. And make the FRS all PvP based!

So, screw the older Jedi for being here this long? Screw them out of the only thing left for them to do in this game? Screw them out of some of the only content left for them? Too bad for you.

I still unequip my lightsaber and turn off forcerun before entering cities.

The starport campers have no intention in doing that.

--- Cancelled 24th November 2006
Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.
