Thread: These comments about forced PVP...

Actually I just think if your going to have forced PvP for Jedi you should have it for all professions..
Then I could go get buffed and sneak up on a crafter who is out getting samples or a scout getting xp.. then maybe kill a few MCH pets for fun...
I mean come on it's all about what I want right.. who cares if they pay for this game and might be in the middle of a quest, guild event.

Bottom line is that you should not be forced to be content for other players no matter what profession you are. There is no justification for forced PvP

It is a general misconception that jedi object to PvP. It's the forced XP LOSS beond our control that is the problem. Get it into your thick head allready!

Show me where it syas I gave up the right to an opinion on the game I pay for in that agreement and I'll agree with you. Until then a choice made for me is still a choice made for me, the fact that I still play in the hope things get better does not change that.
I don't care if you could not log in otherwise, that has nothing to do with me. The last statementshould not be takenas an attack, your reasons for continuing to play are are yours and I can respect your decision even if I do not agree with it. I expect the same however.

Yes, but for most of us, Jedi isn't the same as when we unlocked. I have no problem being hunted or there being a risk. But Jedi should be more than just forced PvP and constantly fighting the BH. And when we do fight a BH, there should be some balance. Jedi are not 1.5x stronger, that statement was for FRS Jedi which doesn't exist. The reward for Jedi is nothing like it used to be, and every nerf just removes reasons to log in a Jedi. And I've been working for 6 months, over 200 tunes trying to get a decent LS, which is hurting us still.
The way I see it, the reward for unlocking isn't what it should be. I don't want an I Win button or anything. I just want a fun character that isn't ALWAYS focused on forced PvP. And Jedi cannot enjoy content without creating viz, so that option doesn't really exist.
Honestly, I feel Jedi is getting overnerfed when compared to the regular professions, and SOE just seems to want to keep nerfing all sides in the name of balancing which I think is a retarded idea. Nobody seems to know where Jedi are headed, least of all SOE.
Again, I don't want an instant kill I Win button. I just want a more level system. And now these permasnares and 8k dmg shots are definitely tipping the balance away from us again, unless you want to keep a SL grouped at all times to defend yourself. And I don't want to kill players in the GCW, Jedi don't belong there anyways. Not the regular GCW anyways.

And at the time we "chose" it we weren't being chain snared and 1 shotted.
Then we spent 6 months to a year "working on it"
Then the game changed.
Now were being snared and 1 shotted.
So we don't have what we chose.

Jedi is not justa title in this game. It's a religion.
listen up people. It don't matter what anyone in these forums thinks about this issue. The fact is that there are enough people who "FEEL" that they are being forced in pvp that it's causing a stir among the community. That right there alone says that something is wrong. People don't feel the way they do if there wasn't an issue. So if anyone thinks that the solution is as simple as using your alt or not be a jedi, then you really must be OK with whatever the devs throw at you or how they develop the concepts in the game. Which means you shouldn't be worrying about anything or how someone else is enjoying their profession.
If you do not like how another player feels, you cannot change their feelings or their experiences that has caused them to feel the way they do.
Bottom line is that there is a disturbance in the force, if ignored for too long, it will be the downfall of "ALL" jedi, including sith and dark jedi wannabe's.
I am a player just like everyone else, I am not a dev and therefore I have no right to tell any of you that you should quit jedi or play your alt simply because I may think that the system is ok. You know, workers don't complain about their job and go on strike if there wasn't a reason to. Same goes for jedi in this game. the amount of people concerned about forced pvp tells me that enough of them feel they are being forced and that's evidence enough for me that the devs need to look into this situation and either make a change or tell the jedi that how it currently is will be the way it will be, no exceptions.
if you are a player and not a dev, csr or employed by SOE, then all of us, need to stop trying to force our acceptance of the current system on those who do not accept it the way it is. Anyone with half a brain can look at the current situation and see that one group is being discriminated against now that the very reason hunting jedi doesn't exist anymore.
Looking at the situation. Hunting jedi is not decreasing the population, it's not stopping jedi from leveling, it's not stopping jedi from being seen, it's not detering jedi from playing their jedi toons and for full templates, it's not even helping them towards the FRS because there is none right now.
So all that's left with the hunting of jedi is grief. When one side gets all the rewards and the other side gets nothing but annoyed with the system because they get nothing out of it.....something needs to change quick.
Not all jedi agreed to the pvp just to be a jedi, some people agreed to be a jedi for the power, to be a jedi, for a change, for the challenge, for roleplay and any other reason. When you take away all of that and still allow jedi to be hunted by another player, you end up with a torn community and a lot of hate between 2 professions. No other professions are hating each other more than BH and jedi. Since the only thing that makes them different than the rest of the professions is that BH can hunt jedi, doesn't that tell you that system is fueling this hate.
Myself, I feel thatthe devs need to do one of 3 things.
1. GIve jedi their power back along with extreme high risk (very extreme I might add)
2. Give jedi an option that works like the GCW SF, combatant, on leave options
3. make"ALL" professions in the game huntable by BH's to make it fair and allow BH's to be the true BH's they are. BH's didn'thunt only jedi in star wars. In factjedi were probably their least huntedmarks. Besides, BH's work for the highest bidder andif fearless enough, willeven take a job against vader or the emperor. THat's what they do. They are not the emperor's hand like some seem to think.
So one of these options need to be put into place to justify the penalties that currently exist. otherwise, this game will forever be tarnish by this BH vs jedi hate andas long as only one group canhunt the other with one sided rewards....this will continue to hurt the overall game and that's the most important part of this issue to me. The attitude of any profession toward another player is more important than somebadly designed/restricted flawedBH mission system.
Sorryif anyone don't like what I'm saying, but i'm not biased towards BH or jedi and I have been both. Thisis more aboout what I feel is right in order to allow as many people as possible to enjoy this game and bring back the fun we use to have around the servers. I'm really starting to be ashamed to be a jedi or a BH honestly. That's one of the reasons not many people outside of my guild know that I'm a jedi, half of them don't even know either.
So people, please stop trying to push yourway of enjoying the game onto others.One of the finest partsof this game is thefreedom to do things that no other MMORPG allows you to do. Ittruely is the closest a game has come to mimicing a real world environment. So just think of how much good trying to pound the "use your alt" or "don't be a jedi" doesright now....it just fuels the hate.It should and must stop.
