Anyway, I wouldn't be to proud of the Pearls, I've been here since the beginning, and one thing is for sure, no amount of planning will ever do you any good.

The sad part is, the Devs can, and will change everything in one patch.

Speaking from experience of having had three near perfect sabers before the CU, all it took was one patch to render all but four Pearls pretty muchuselss.

And on that note, don't be surprised if very soon, the Devs decide to completely change Lighsaber mechanics AGAIN, and all your planning will have been a waste of time.

Been there.

Done that.

isn't to gloat it is as i said an itch I wanted to scratch as I am leaving game soon and wanted to find out before I left, been meaning to do it for ages sorry if it comes across that way and I agree with you on the sabre crafting was more than half expecting more of a change with the CU and sabre crafting than there was, infact kept expecting my hoard of untuned pearls I had save for coming in to CU to be worthless everytime I logged on

lol I wish, had to tune everyone I had saved to get 4 good tunes 119 fc -7 117 fc-9 116 fc -7 113 fc -8 out of about 20 pearls and forgotten how many crystals!! I feel sorry for the new jedi that have to make do with crappy tunes to be honest IMHO it just isn't right or fair and again IMHO the devs really need to look at pearl/crystal drop rates and quality to give newer jedi a chance

I did my best to plan ahead. Went out and hunted Nightsisters, participated in krayt hunts (a colossal time sink before the Krayt Population Boom), stalked endless Dantooinian Force Wielders, harvested lightsaber resources, bought lightsaber resources... the Achilles' Heel of my lightsaber issue is, of course, the pearls and crystals. Even after all my preparations (some 20 or so pearls and crystals accumulated prior to unlocking my Jedi skills, all of which after I was able to evaluate them turned out to be Poors, Fairs, and Goods -- obviously a quantity that turned out to be totally inadequate), I wound up with really crappy tunes. After a month of relentlessly mining random-spawn krayts during the Population Boom, I'd slightly improved my collection of pearls and crystals in my saber... up to a range of +64 to +94 on their damage modifiers and mostly -4 on force cost except for my highest-damage pearl, which sports an annoying -2 fc. My grinding saber sports four pearls and crystals with damage ranges from +25 to +45, but with three with force costs of -6 and one with a -9 fc.

I planned ahead...but I started in the holo grind.

Once the village thing went live I figured out which free unlocks I wanted

THEN... some of the missions I need to unlock were bugged so I ended up taking what I could to get done.

I had collected resources, pearls, crystalsbut again things had changed so some of themI didnt need.

I had 50+ color crystals and about 20 clears
