You get negative xp.

So if a skill costs 3000 jedi xp and you have -3000 xp from a BH death, you have to grind out 6000 xp before you can get that skill.

No skill box loss, you just go into the negatives...

-997,000 xp or what ever it is (that was my worse).

Only if they want to change template. Or if they come up with something to do with jedi XP once you're a full temp.

there was a rumor that you won't be able to progress in the FRS if you are negative in the xp, however I doubt it's truth since no details have been officially released... But I wouldn't doubt it really.. /shrug

But yeah, the formula to how much xp you lose is such:

skillpoints put into jedi * 2000

So if you have 113 skillpoints put into jedi (halfway full-templete) you'll lose 226k, then an additional 10% if you have an inspiration buff. (have they fixed this?)

So if you just cashed in your experience for a skill and a BH gets the jump on you, you'll be -226k in the hole.

Of course the best way to go is to get full template, then grind an additional 4 million Jedi xp (the current cap on positive xp). That way you are more than covered for any possible BH loss and/or minor template changes. It gives you a great peace of mind to know there's no way to go into negative numbers, unless you suffered like, 9 consecutive BH deaths.

It is based on the skill points you have in Jedi skills.
BHs get 1000 times your skill points in Jedi skills (so 86k credits if you have 86 points in Jedi).
You lose 2000 times your skill points in Jedi skills (so 172k xp if you have 86 skill points in Jedi).
CL is not a factor in those calculations.
With FRS there were (and probably will be) some fixed addition on top of those numbers, but you dont need to worry about that currently since FRS is disabled and only full templates could enter FRS if it was active.

thanks for the advice so i guess while grinding its best to get all my xp capped before i train skills that i dont really need so that if i do get hunted i wont lose as much xp. now im starting to get this, at first i was wondering why so many get all their novices just for the force power but then they are lvl 70 or as low as 55 and their not too useful cause they have no real skills left in their other professions, im still tkm 0030 swordman with my 0020ls 2002enh 4000 healer and griding isnt too hard for me so far. thanks for the info ill tell my friends about it and maybe some of them will get rid of those useless novice boxes til they cap xp and need to train a few boxes at once for a useful skill. peace.

Actually the 5 Novice boxes are good to have as long as you dont have Enhancer xxx2. You will notice the increase in Force regen and Force pool they give. If somebody asked me which boxes to get first I would say LS 0220 / Enh 0002 / Heal 2000 / Novice Def / Novice Pow, and from there on to bank the xp and get whole branches.
If you grind carefully, you dont need to worry about being killed by BHs. If you get a BH visit, though, the Novices with 16k xp loss each will hurt, of course.
