Forcing jedi to have said 4-4-4-0 defender, and in addition having to have 4-0-0-0 healer, and then either 0-4-0-4 sabers or m.powers does not do much for the fabled "template diversity" that was promised to come with patch 9.

/raise hand not by a BH who had my mission but I wanted to test it with some friends a MSL buffed a MBH/Mrifle & he one shot me for 7500 dmaage befor my armor 4500 after resists so yaone shot imcap not histaria trueth.

Ran bounties all last night. Went up against a Master Defender template. Wound up a snipershot as he popped a steak as I went prone. Sure a chunk of his health fell but he was back to full in a click and I was up and running. Kited each other for about 40 minutes then we called it a draw. Kinda shot MSL out the window as a guaranteed I Win botton in my eyes. Then again, anyone with low Defender was cannon fodder but those guys are usually cannon fodder anyways. Damage don't seem all that great considering I did around the same damage as MBH MRifles. Give alot of stuff up being MSL but it basically makes up for it with debuffs...which are great cause it helps my whole group.


The biggest concern from this Master Defender I fought against was the fact that I was hard to predict. Run buffs, Action/mind Regens, Def buffs, ect. One minute I was tanking, next minute I was kiting. Multiplestrategic wiz profession. The variety is the best part of the profession.


Learned alot last night about the MSL profession. I learned that it wasn't much of an I Win botton if your opponent is paying attention. Worst comes to worst, most Jedi who saw me on the map hit FR3 and ran up to me before I could get off a sniper shot. Then there were those who were half asleep grinding pikets out of Dantooine or wasting away in a Cantina. Those guys were REAL easy, but not anymore than they would be as MBH MRifles or MBH MPistoleer with my uber Featherweight...hell I've killed these same guys as MBH MPikes. (I was bored)


Seemed the same as I was setting up for a sniper shot. Usually Aim > Pyro > Adv Sniper Shot, Adv Crit ect. will kill them the same. Only difference was I didn't have to wait for that stupid Aim zipbar.

Can confirm this, my friend is a Master BH / Master Rifleman with padawan jedi, he hit me with knockdown, snare then critical shot and I was incapped. I couldn't even get up and by the time I knew what was happening i was dead.
He has an alt that is a Master SL / Master Doctor and was grouped with him, all I saw was his alt saying "BooYah" and it was all over.
My template is Master Powers / Master Enhancer / 4040 Healer. I had blob candy and spiced tea as well as Improved Infusion running. My new tactic now is Stassis, Force run and drop a house when the tef drops and log out. I don't think SOE has thought this Squad Leader thing through and while for groups it may be a good thing, for the BH's out there it's there dreams come true. And now with some of the new weapons in Trials of Obi-Wan it's only going to get worse.
I went with this template becuase of the fun Dark Jedi factor damn should of gone with a FOTM.

I got hit with last ditch tonight by a friend who wound up with my mission. He was lvl 79, MBH with a mix of smuggler and SL. I blocked most of the other stuff, or he missed. When he was almost dead, he hit me with last ditch with what ever the evil SL buff is, and I was down and incapped in one hit. He posted a thread with the screen shot from his combat log here in this forum. If he had missed, he would have been incapped and DB'd if he hadn't been a friend. If it had been anyone else, they would have deathblowed me.


I am sure there will be more.

I don't exactly know how much the damage buff does for anyone. Those that I have used it on say it hardly does anything. Booyah! is that damage buff. The name is slipping my mind right now (its late). I'll have to check my forums and see if anyone has some numbers on it. Its only a 10 minute buff. Couldn't care less if it was stripped off upon BH TEF as I've never needed it...then again I've never seen its effects since I can't buff myself.


EDIT: Whoa so you had zero Defender? Anyone with Advanced Sniper Shot will kill you without that SL buff pretty quickly. I hit you types for 1k damage *shot per shot* with a pistol.


You lacking any Defender has NOTHING to do with the SL buffs. That is a totally different concern.

Tested it, if the person is not a defender in jedi then a 1 shot is very possible. witnessed it myself.

The volley fire (Booyah) only reduces the effects of the opponents defences, and since you had none it had no effect.


The only buff he could have used to make a difference is the single person damage buff which increases damage by 20%


So you are complaining about someone who is doing 20% extra damage managing to kill you wil a knockdown snare and critical shot? If 20% really makes that much difference to you than you really do have the right technique of running and logging because I guarantee you there isn't a master Bounty hunter in this game who canot kill you with absolute ease and without preparation.


The BHs have more to complain about in this situation that you do... because afterwards they are going to be left with the knowledge that they needlessly wasted their foods.

Well here is my story. First I am MLS/Mdef/3000 heal/0002 enh. I had bofa treat, caf and blob candy in my system. I keep Pikatta pie and crispic handy for an atttack. I have 2 aakuan rings (+10 ranged def), a BE shirt and pants both with melee defense in them. I have a modified dps of 524 (no flawless pearls ) BH came at me grouped with 2 other people....one master Doc/MSL and another a Jedi (They were all curious about the new SL buffs) I saw him approaching so I took precautions by targeting him and eating food before he hit me.


Most fights I have been in have been battles. Lasting anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes.



This guy was hitting me like a mack truck. His mind did not go down at all. Due to either pure luck, or his inexperience I beat him. His best hit on me was 724.....and he was hitting fast for 300-550 a shot (I only heal 1000 a shot so he got up on me fast). I actually had to ai at one point. I am not a big complainer, and I did come out on top.....but I see me getting pawned, and anyone who is not at least 4440 defender getting pawned by this. I am sure most would agree that a good fight is one where it is long and drawn out anduse of tactics determines the winner....not a complete unbalance. Just my 2 cents.
