Wow... Commando's don't like us.

Well, they are a ranged profession that is designated for mass PvP. Currently the biggest power in mass PvP is a profession that blocks 85% of ranged attacks.

Wouldn't you be a bit peeved if you could only hit your biggest threat 15% of the time?

I think commandos don't like anyone who isn't as broken as they are.

I am very proud of the fact that SonG appears to actually be following the NDA. I just wish they would do something about some of the correspondants *cough* COMMANDO *cough*!

If he does, how come every change to Jedi has been a nerf since Pub. 9? And thanks for patronising us.

Thank you. I doubt it will quiet all the naysayers....but it's good to hear from someone that actually has knowledge of what goes on in the correspondents forums.

SonG, I understand that you cannot reveal information yourself. Instead I hope you see it as one of your prime objectives to make sure that the information that has been and will be released by the devs will not spread too many rumors about the effects on Jedi.

Specifically, the CU update by Blair almost didn't mention Jedi at all. However, it is clear that many of the changes will affect Jedi in some way. It seems clear that many of our skills will need to be changed or even removed completely. Examples are basically all of the healing skills and many of the saber specials. This is because of the HAM changes. Could you press the devs to be more specific about these changes and what they mean for Jedi?

I think one of the issues that are most important to know for Jedi is whether or not LS damage will remain in the game. Blair does state in his document that ALL weapons will be restricted to energy and kinetic as primary damage types. There is no mention of LS damage. Could you please press the devs to clarify this for us? It will be a majornerf for Jedi in both PvE and PvP if LS damage is removed - unless it is balanced in another way.

Because a correspondent has no power over the decisions at all. He is a messenger - no more, no less.

/shakes head.....

If you don't want to believe someone that actually has some knowledge of what's going on behind the scenes.....so be it. Last time I checked SonG didn't have a Red name (Dev), so there is only so much he can do.

But jus to throw you a bone I'll give you an inside scoop. Jedi are getting their lightsabers taken away. And they won't be that hard to spot anymore.....they will all be walking permanently bent over with a "Please Sir may I have another" tag on . Feel better now....your worst fears have been confirmed.... /end sarcasm

I wouldn't try humour. It's really for people with college education.

It's well known Tanks lobbies aggressively for his profession and keeps at the Devs until, it seems, they think his opinion is general.

This is a contructivethread where SonG can post what little info get released to us. So I will not follow you hear trading jabs. If questioning my education makes you feel better then so be it. However I do have a bachlor's degree in exploration geophysics...in case you are wondering. Now as far as otherthreads go......

SonGouki, I have faith in you and I believe the jedi community as a whole has faith in you. We have literally dozens of questions which obviously you cannot answer because of the NDA. All of our questions about master healer and about master lightsaber, etc. These questions are just tools used by the jedi community to find solice. You can give that to us WITHOUT answering any of these questions.

The BH correspondent Tanks, has gone onto the BH forums a number of times and assured his people that "they will be very happy with the changes." The BH community is stoked just to have heard him say that, and sometimes a little reassurance from our devote leader is all we need to hear.

So tell me, you have had a look at the proposed changes and you know the system better than us. You see the direction the devs are taking things and how much effort they are putting into making certain things better, and you know what we reasonably expect out of this profession. Will we be happy when the smoke clears?
