The combat nerf is a horrible mistake and complete piece of trash.
I'd start over on a pre-nerf server in a heartbeat.

When i started this thread it was pretty much in response of some I saw that were pushing the old system and didnt realize the complexity of what it took to change it back over. But now it takes a whole new meaning. Guys, the majority of us are not happy and never will be with this mess that was forced upon us. When 27 out of 28 responses state that the cu was a huge mistake, took all of the action out of it, took all the stratagy out of it, and alienated proffesions to the point of being worthless, SOE is going to have a serious problem next month. Next month is the 6th month of post cu. All the promises, all the hype, all the patience will be gone. I remember when the cu came out people were saying iwill give it x amount of time to get it worked out....well, times up.6 months to me should have been plenty of time to give a company to full fill the promises that it stated at the beginning of this nighmarish change.
I personally dont feel they have improved the situation one bit since april 1st. I even think they gimped it more. One thing i do know is this, SOE may not pay any attention to us on the forums, but i know their competitors do. You can bet that WOW devs read this board everyday and are learning some very valuable lessons out our expense and soe's mistakes. Avolunteer pre-cu server would save this game. Even if i was the only one on it, i would enjoy what i used to be able to do much more than what I cant do anymore on a crowded post cu server. One more quick question....if there was a pre-cu server and you had to buy the software over again, (which would be wrong to sell us the same software twice), would you pay for it?

Pre CU was better it's true.
I also agree with the fact that yes a lot of players left for WoW and the like at one point, and came straight back again after 3 months saying they were bored.
I just used to say to everyone that told me they were going "you will be back" and so they were, about 3months later lol.

I was watching the Sith Code the other day... I love the Jedi duel at the end. Simply beautiful. It actually looked like a saber fight should look. These days... ugh, I can't even put the horrid-ness of it into words.

i would start anew on a pre cu server. and kiss my millions gooooooooood bye on my old server.

I think they'd be better off relaunching the game from scratch
Like when the game 1st came out in July 03'

I'd give everything up including the Jedi for the chance to play on a Pre-CU server. SOE would be smart in doing it as it would bring back many of the players who left due to the "CU."
