I got one of these discs near the wrecked sandcrawler South of Mos Eisely.
Conversing again didn't do anything, it showed on the radial menu, but she didn't say anything. Just stood there."
The same thing happened to me tonight about 1000m outside of Bestine while on Gorath. I got the disk from her, got the attention of both STs then ran about 150m and healed. The two STs were bugged and stayed prone but were still tough with my limited combat skills. When I went back she shouted at me again and gave me another disk and spawned two more STs. I saved her again by getting a camp up and a pet out fast enough to make it a bit easier but she didn't want to have anything to do with me..even after saving her butt twice. As someone said, maybe the disks will be useful sometime.
These quests are one of the most interesting things about wandering around in the middle of nowhere, I sure wish the Devs would put the effort into fixing them that they doon some of the fluff in these recent patches...although they're making good progress in some areas.
I would love for someone (DEV!) to tell us what these disks are for.
I was sitting in my house and all of a sudden this slave chick came running in and was talking to me...this blew my mind for just a moment...i took the disk, then Storm Troopers ran in through my wall, two of them, and started talking then killed and searched her for the disk.
The second disk i got was about 50 meters away from my house while i was servicing my harvestor. She (slave) ran up, yadda yadda, gave me the disk then got rocked by the ST's.
So, what do i do nooooooooooow!
This is what I know.
-People are saying this is a badge for the hermit. But it's bugged.
-This is a completely random spawn. Wander around the desert and you'll find her eventually.
-No recruiters from either side will take it.
-My encounter was with 2 troopers. She dies, I cannot give the disk to the troopers. I can't give the disk to the troopers before she dies either. I can't heal her. I can't attack the troopers, I'm an imperial. The troopers say "Look for the disk...", but there is no option to converse with the troopers - it's strictly examine.
-Hang on to the disk. One of 2 things will happen. The devs fix it, and you are able to decode the disk and see where/whom you must give this to. Or, the devs will fix it, it will be worthless (or splinters) and you must find her again.
If you must know where I found it, it was right outside ofa store. 20m. And there was noone else around. Can a group encounter this, or must it be a solo thing?

trying to give it to ANY of the rebel themepark people doesn't work. from C-3PO up to Luke. none will take it. (not by dropping, not by conversing).
recruiters don't accept.
can't decode. (no-one can. no, not even smugglers. NO.)
STs aren't conversable.
tried giving it to random NPCs throughout the galaxy (let the force be your guide). didn't work either.
CSR says he can't say anymore than to hold on to it.
*isn't apart of the deadeye quests*
probably doesn't have anything to do with the 'imp plans'/'rebel plans' either.
... hmmm...
I figured we might be able to think through this by elimination =^_^=

This hapend me. That slave came i talked to her and got disk, then i shotted her(im good imperial). Then looted and got 46 credits.
Troopper said "Target down ,checking for disk."Then i drag&dropped disk to trooper it didint accept it, but trooper said "The disk is here. Mission Complete."
is troopper saying this allways or did my drag&drop active this?
I received the disk while doing Jabba's themepark. I was returning from one of the missions, sawa white dot on the radar (I'm neutral) so I went over to it because it wasn't there when I went out to do the mission. The one white dot was actually two stormtroopers, they started moving as I got closer, just casually walking. When I got right next to them the Twi'lek slave spawned and ran up to me. She asked for help, I converesed with her, she gave me the disk, then the stormtroopers killed her. The stormtroopers said "target down, checking for disk," then "the disks not here, command must have had the wrong target." They then walk away and despawn.
I've tried giving the disk to every factioned NPC I come across, including random spawns, with no luck. So, in almost half a year of this game being out, no one has figured this out yet?I doubt it - either someone knows or it's bugged. Gotta love content that either doesnt work, or takes 6 months for 300K people to figure out.
