I dont agree with the armor break being in the novice box. should be in a tier 4 box and armor break 2 shoudl be a master box.

break 1 in novice

break 2 in master

done =P

btw i absolutely LOVE the idea!!!! /super-sign!!!

Pre CU > Post CU
Yep, i turned to the dark side. =P

It is the best place to put it, I suppose. It just annoys me that Double-Bladed lightsaber isn't an entire tree of its own. I mean, the way a double-bladed saber is handled is completely different from the way either the one-handed or two-handed sabers are used. At least with the one-handed and two-handed styles, you could literally interchange the hilts... the only difference was the number of hands you had on the weapon. I'm glad that SOE moved closer to this with the CU, allowing all saber specials to be used with all sabers.

In any case, when you consider the modifiers you get from Defender, or the abilities of Enhancer, or the healing power of Healer even after the new heal timers... I believe the specific modifiers for the proposed specials and stances are overpowered.

Lightsaber Duelist Stance, basic and Improved. +150 defence and +250 defence.

Combine that with Improved Aura and Master Defender.

Throw in Valor, too, if a bunch of Riflemen are shooting...

Also, I don't particularily like the /crippleStrike modifiers. -80 and -150 to the target's defenses? That's pretty ugly on top of the states you can land and on top of ArmorBreak, too?

Saber Melee Block acting like armor also would end up stacking with Defender Innate Armor. Saber Melee Block acting like Saber Block would be simpler to code, and would then have to correspond to the same limits. i.e. 25% at Master.

OK, but remember we have dimishing returns now, +250 defence to a defender is 'not' +250 defence, i know i am one. It will help, im not going to pretend, but the difference is going to be nothing compared to what it offers the none-defender. Also, have you guys considered that my alt can stack CoB and Parry reposite stance? and then even go and stack swords flurry defence bonus on top of that as well? You wanna talk about overpowered?

Again, the melee block stacking with defender is not an issue, you guys really need to look at the formulas, a defender has great innate armour, sure, but that armour can be broken and completely removed. Melee block insures that a master of lightsaber has true defence against melee atacks, but maybe you dont want that, i dont know.

Current = 1000 damage hit, defender takes 475 pts of damage, unbroken.
Defender + MLS in my system = 1000 damage hit, takes 380 pts of damage. Are you telling me 95pt is overpowered as a reductin for the entire LS tree?

Now compare a non-defender = 100 damage hit, takes 800 damage, unbroken.
MLS in my system = 640 damage. Thats a reduction of 160 pts for the non-defender, almost double what the defender gets. I call that balanced, dont know about you.

I have to say it is a pretty neat idea. As has been stated, the saber lock is very far fetched for this type of game.

As a side note, how do you know what character uses what style? I've been looking for this type information.

Removing armor break is not balancing.

Regular melee profs have armor break, We should have that also

Mmmm, you might want to read again. I have not removed armourbreak...

Its at NOVICE Lightsaber and at MLS. NO more *4** FTW, the lines are now balanced.

The "non m.ls" dont want it to be worth anything, it sounds good to me as m.ls but people want to be just as good with a x-x-x-4 as someone with m.ls without spending the sp.

Exactly

MLS has always been mroe beneficial,, especially since recent changes. Sp is a balance factor in the game. The point is you can't have everything and if you spend the SP to master a tree you should be better than the others dabbling in that tree.
