You say that now, until the FRS starts and you have a bad saber. Then all the pre9 Jedi with their perfect and ADK'd sabers flood the ranks, and you are at the bottom, with seemingly insurmountable odds, if and when they decide to put the pearls back.
The playing field must be levelled before the FRS returns. I do not want to see anymore nerfs, so that rules out taking the good pearls away from people. The only reasonable answer is to either return pearls, or drastically change the way sabers are crafted to allow people to create new sabers that are generally equal based on your skill level (obviously, a MLS will and should have a better saber than 0404, etc.) But the chances that they will screw that up are so high that its not even worth it.

Whydo you saythere be balance before something is instated?
FRS - force RANKING system...
What do you want it to be based on?
I want the FRS to be decided by:
1. skills - Knowing what, how and when to do something in a fight. Including _ when to take food,
what food to take, when to heal, what attacks to use, discerning your enemies abilities instantly... etc ad infinum
2. EQUIPMENT - including SABERs, food, stims, clothing, and SEAs!!!
What else is there? ability to form a gank squad?
I hope not!
I do agree with your important point that MLS should have a much better saber
not simply a faster saber, because of skill mods... but a better saber!
I would choose #2 now... ESPECIALLY if gaining ranks again creates stronger players!
That is why we have no FRS, because it entails unbalanced playing field inately, and you
wont stop crying for balance...
