Thread: Did everyone miss a key point in Tigg's message?
In my opinion it's a bad move, but it will bring some balance between old jedi and newer jedi.

There are many great points on this forum ... here are two things that i consider:
- Pre-Cu Jedi = more experienced Jedi, Windu vs. the Padawan Learner - this Jedi should be more powerful, and have better equipment ... sorry you haven't been playing since release ... but if they have ... they SHOULD get the benefit ... when i was a master doctor ... there were master doctors out there that had been around longer ... they had several hundred thousand units of PERFECT Avian Meat. i could never get my hands on it if i didn't buy it, because it NO LONGER EXISTED.
- No more Perfect or Flawless Pearls - isn't this what happens with EVERY NATURAL RESOURCE ... it can beexhausted. Oil anyone?
Though it was most likely not the rational applied to this situation by SOE ... it is certainly fitting. There is no telling ... maybe with the proper care and feeding of your own Krayt Dragon Farm ... with a couple of thousand years to become Ancient ... and a random piece of sand in their throat ... you could get a couple dozen Flawless tunes.
not looking to flame anyone ... but as others felt the need for expression, so did i.

Wouldn't increasing the quantity of drops of other quality crystals/pearls fix the problem? It would give everyone more opportunities to get a great tune.
Ever since I finished my template a couple of weeks ago, I've been farming "good" crystals off of lvl 80Corsairs. I see an almost perfect bell curve in the tunes. My high has been 87/87 FC-5 and my low is a 24/24 FC 0. Most are in the 50-60-70 range. The "quality" rating just shifts the curve towards the high end.
Also, those complaining about it being impossible to "construct the perfect saber" should realize that only a very lucky few should ever be able to do this. Otherwise what is the point of pearls to begin with. Eliminate them and allJedi would be on a level saber playing field.
What I don't understand about her statement is, the quality of the pearl is listed on it because they already have the stats determined no? So a 'flawless' pearl is guaranteed to have high stats because the system 'knows' what its stats are thus label's it 'flaweless', likewise the system knows what the stats of a good pearl are thus label's it as such.
So if this is the case her statement is incorrect because no matter how many good pearls you loot, they will never match a premium pearl because the reason they are labeled as good in the first place is because the system 'knows' they have lower stats than a premium.
Am I missing something?

Why are we putting ANY focus on nerfing pre-cu ?
This is totally unnacceptable behavior boys....we should ONLY be talking about making post-CU Jedi stronger and ALL Jedi stronger...period

Advantage of about a 1000 times , and if you get lucky with 1 of a thousand only 3 thousand tunes left!
Stupid comment really!

By 'the very lucky few' you mean 10% of pre cu jedi, with the other 90% with not perfect, but near perfect sabers?

No, it just means that the system knows to give a higher chance to a certain range of stats to that pearl/crystal, not that they are pre-determined. For example, a premium might have a 50% chance for 110-120/.20-.29/-8 - -9, and a 30% chance for the next range down, etc etc. A quality might have a 20% chance for that top range, 50% chance for the next range down, etc etc. A fair might have a 1% chance for the top range, and a 50% chance for the bottom range, etc etc.
