I actually like the idea of wounds and LS damage....

Mmmmm ya. That would even things up a bit and make it a little more movie like without having body parts laying about.

Perhaps the amount of wounds should equal level of saber.

Gen 1 being 25% Gen 4 being 100% or something.

I like the wound idea a lot. Would give Jedi something unique back to them and make them a little more special than they are currently.

EDIT: But for balance sake, I think it would be best to give Saber Slash 100% wound.

Oh...and as far as BHs go...Killing Jedi should not be the only purpose of being a BH. Han solo had more BHs after him than luke or obi did. Regarding the comment about jedi population: the jedi system would regulate that. Having tefs to each other will keep us scarce and an occasional BH attack would be more inline with the story line and common sense.

Sabers are a joke. They need to be feared.

make it like 10% of dmg goes into wounds. That makes healing dmg reasonable, and makes them hurt over time. If i kd/ab/powerhit you, you'll take about 100-150 wounds. that's reasonable, considering i just took out 1/3-1/2 of your health. in any short battle, the bh should be able to suprise a jedi and kill him. in the long battle, the jedi should ALWAYS be able to kill the bh. Simply because he has the force on his side, and should be inflicting massive amounts of damage which can't be shrugged off (loss of limbs, etc).

I would have to agree the amount of wounds per hit would need to be increased.

I was toying around with the idea of Lightsabers keeping the same damage as of now, but causing 100% wounds.

This would make Lightsabers very deadly without much effort... and it's also somewhat more truthful to the original idea.

This would also make lightsaber duels very quick ofcourse, but that's prefered in my book.

Just like the movies, people should think it's literally insane to believe anyone can TANK a Jedi. Forget about MCM's... If they get <5m range they are toast. Ranged BH's, just like it should be.

I really like the idea.

lol

Really though - I like this idea a lot; it'd keep shorter, decisive battles between Jedi and Bounty Hunters.

Love the idea. Even when you lose it would be nice to look up and actually see that you at least sent him to a doctor after the fight. After intense long battles both parties should be pretty banged up anyway if you think about it. Fighting for 20-30 close range and then popping a stim after to full-strength seems silly after I read this awesome idea.

I personally disagree, I mean every Bounty Hunter template wil HAVE to include doc to have any chance of beating good jedi. This will severely reduce the variety of possible jedi hunting templates. I know that Jedi has virtually NO alternatives to a Defender and saber template but that's no reason to reduce others' choices.

Considering what BH's have available to them, there is no reason not to let Jedi have Lightsabers do this type of damage.

BH is already a very versatile profession that can be built in a number of ways...no one is reducing anything for anyone.

Sounds very interesting. Some facts with this would help. Can anyone answer:

1. I have a 54 wound on my saber. I do not wound 54% of the time or cause 54% of damage in wounds all the time. What does this value represent?

2. Are we talking no damage and all wounds?

3. How does the elemental value in wounds sound? Mine is 210. It would take me 15 sucessful hits to take them out. Which is about what it takes normally on good hits and combos.

Regardless, very good post and way to give positive feedback.
