Great post!! I never post in here, not a poster at all. I do read alot though, hehe. I've been playing since launch, unlocked December 2004. I admit, I was a little skeptical about the first CU but I learned to adapt and actually enjoyed it(not as much as pre CU) but enjoyed it more or less.

This is a total shock to me and so many others, I can't believe so many of use pre-ordered Trials of Obi-Wan and the next day of live launch they announce this!!! What a scam I tell ya. I honestly am not upset about anybody being able to be a jedi, I really do think it's more healthy for the game. It just sucks I and many others wasted so much time grinding, I mean how can you repay something like that?? A robe, crystal, elder status, lightsaber, blah.

When I got Jedi, I never cared about being the most powerful(i'm actually not that great in pvp but do enjoy it), I just liked to be a Jedi. I logged on the test center tonight and actually went on with an open mind. When I finally got on, I played and was in disbelief. How can this game go from a mmorpg to a first person shooter??(oh, excuse me, 3rd person shooter)

I will give this new system a chance when it goes live but I have a very bad feeling about this.

May the force be with us all.

Straight to the point and exactly how I feel as well. VERY VERY well put Cphyr. This represents my current feeling about SWG and Soe (Lucas is in there too I am sure). As a matter of fact it is so well put that I have no drive to read any otherposts on this very sad forum today.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I counted up the accounts they are going to be loosing when we head off. Six accounts.... They are all just waiting for the cancel button. Friends are the only thing holding us here, and since they are all trembling on the verge of leaving too, the hold is tenuous at best. I was almost in tears when I looked through the skill set they have for Jedi.... I have playedboardgames that had more going for it.

I personally DO believe in conspiracy theories. The bean counters at Sony needed the revenue from ToOW to show they weren't losing money this last quarter. They will be able to marginalized andminimize the wave of cancellations that are coming and hide the demise of the game in an accounting shuffle that will be epic. I sure do hope the share holders of Sony pay attention to this and hold some people accountable.

While game play may change, we entered into a contract, Sony and I did... I would pay them a fee each month for the privilege of creating a life in a SWG universe. I would continue to pay them the fee for each month and in return I would receive UPGRADES and IMPROVEMENTS on my gaming experience. I am not sure at what point they assumed I was so stupid as to keep paying to play an ever contracting universe and that I was suffering from Virtual Alzhiemers and wouldn't notice that I was becoming increasingly weak and powerless as time went by.

Well, they have a month to figure it all out. It either has some redeaming features I can't find, or I will tearfully say so long to what this game could have been, but never was. The potential was always there, but was mismanaged from the moment the doors opened. Take heed other game companies.... gamers might do alot of things and put up with alot of crap to play in a universe they love... but they won't be made to feel like morons in order to do it.

SOE shows no loyalty to the people that paid and kept this game going over the years however here are a few parting gifts please.......I can't believe they are dumbing this game down for consoles and people that don't have the intellect to grind jedi or use function keys
