Nope. This was confirmed by Tiggs. Only existing Jedi will keep their second char, AND perhaps new Jedi who start from scratch.

No, only with a Jedi slot unlocked.

Its not said ANYWHERE that jedi r a starting prof. Its said that FS are.
Its said that "jedi are force sensitives blah blah.." but NOT that every FS is a Jedi.
here's the list of starting profs, according to brawler coro after his visit in austin:
Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Commando, Medic, Force Sensitive, Officer (think SL), Tradesman, Entertainer, Spy. Poli and Pilot will remain unchanged.

And you think a CL 80 FS character wont be an all singing all dancing Jedi with a lightsaber? Think again.
Any CL80 player who respecs to another profession will be CL80 in that profession. This includes Jedi.

while some fricken respec cl80 BH can be lvl80 Jedi? Oh that better not be how it turns out.. Very sad day for all jedi.

Yea man, that really sucks and I feel for you. Think you need to slide up a few notches on your cancelometer.
I'll wait to decideif I should feel sorry for the current jedis. I have alot more time invested in my crafter then any jedi, since day 1, I have collected resources stockpiled credits and crafted the best in my profession. Played hours and hours towads being able to supply the best. Although they try to make it sound like crafters will still be a key to the game at the same time, they make it sound like they are removing decay, decreasing crafter diversity, significantly increasing useful loot drops ect. Will the economy take the road of eq, credits have little or no value, and trades will rule the day. If current resource requirments remain the same and no changes are made, our servers have enough resources on them already to craft for 10 years with no decay. We shall see, I think alot of people are going to get the stick in the head with this one. Might as well wipe the servers and start over.

Ok now the facts any cl 80 combat character can respec to a cl 80 FS character. No where has the word jedi left the mouth of any of the developers or correspondents only force sensitive. The next fact is that if you respec to a FS character you will NOT recieve any of the veteran jedi rewards. The last fact is that unless you unlock (which the village is turned off and you get no credit for FS) before this hits live you will NOT get an additional character slot.
This is all confirmed in the Tiggs Tracker forum where he answered these specific questions.
