Just some numbers. Hope my maths right.

(250,000 subscriptions) * ($15.00/month) = $3.75 million per month

($3.75 mill per month) * (12 months) = $45.00 million a year for net income

(100 staff) * ($50,000.00 annual salery) = $5.0 million dollors loss a year

(guessing but say operating costs are $ 500,000.00 per month) * (12 months) = $ 6.00 million in operating lossa year.

Profit = ( $ 45.00 million income ) - ( $ 5.0 million staff costs) - ( $ 6.00 million opperating) = $ 34.0 million profits

So with $ 34.0 million jingle wo play with I''m sure something could be done. Heck even if there was another $14 million a year in unknown costs that still is a rakeing of $ 20 million. Sorry math hurts in the morning.

How can you say you've lived life if you've never danced?
Well I do remember Han having a one piece suit made out of carbonite but it weighed a ton. Still it didnt require any ironing and was very wear resistant.
Thanks SOE! The CU and NGE gave me my life back. Thanks! Bitterness is the taste of love lost, a tear of acid that burns the heart.
Long gone, in sorrow of song. Stand I make to deliver hope with twisted temporal past, for the ripples in time distort what affects when. Prowlies a must see Clicky!
As a dreamer I sing to the sea and imagine the possibilities and potential this game could free, but when I get home a sad sight there be. A lost fool, for once was is gone, what could've been to never be, and the angel of my heart to be forgotten, locked away by the key of SOE.

HOw bout we pay $10 less a month and pay what this game is really worth.....................

This type of business ethic continues at SOE because of their CEO, John Smedley. Little does the public know, that Star Wars Galaxies was scrapped in 2002 and redeveloped in 14 months from the ground up. In a meeting, they asked how they could get away with releasing such an unfinished product. John Smedley stated that people will buy it because it has a Star Wars name on it - and then laughed as they said they would complete the retail product (which consumers have already paid $49.99 for) with approximately 2 years of subscription revenue

($15.00/mo. * 12 mo.) * 250,000 subscribers = $45 million a year

$45 million/yr. * 2 years = $90 million

Not counting sales of SWG and it's expansions.

$59 (or $69 forCE, or $49 for JTL/SWG, and so on)* 1 millionsold = roughly $60-70 million, not counting expansions sold alone.

So.. rough figure, we gave Sony Online Entertainment approximately $150-160 million.

And thats just the SWG division. They also have EverQuest, MxO, EverQuest 2, and a few other games. And thats just computer software division! They have Sony Entertainment music, videos too. And televisions and dvd players and Sony Viao computers and stereos and thousands of other appliances and so forth. Nevermind their business contracts with incorporations handling electronics and survellience equipment and so on and so forth.

Giving SOE an extra $2.00 a month is like giving a white collar worker an extra dollar a year in their salary.
