Feign death actually worked.

The only jedi in the game was Luke.

You would getblack barred from using FD in pvp.

The first person in PvP called me a cheater for using FD in PvP.

We had a guild on our server that liked to emote assault female toons as they layed incap and our whole server joined forces to take them down.

I did smuggler for the first of 7 times. (should have just stayed with it, but I wanted to try out other prof's)

There were actually entertainers at the keys, and had to flourish manually.

People didn't cheat by using speed hacks in pvp.

Running from the stormtroopers because they were actually scary.

FOTM was a term used only at Baskin-Robbins.

As a commando, my fire dot was feared, not laughed at.

Nearly everyone had a GSP at some point.

Pets were actually useful.

Low blow actually knocked your targetdown.

Remember when....

1. You had to beg to open containers for free.

2. You had to slice all those terms!!!!

3. You had to grind craft all that spice (I used booster blue)

4. You could trade spice to a doc for a heal?

5. Docs actually were in the med center healing?

6. You had to run everywhere, i.e. no mounts...

7. You had to have scout exp for the terrain negotiation

8. You were so happy to have slice 4 with the % bonus!

9. You could sell Muon Gold for 30K or more per crate!

10. You actually met, socialized, and got to know other players from your smuggling prof?

Feel free to add or comment...

1. uhg. I ended up just buying a whole bunch of them for 6k per. I'd have to run a couple (sliced)missions, then buy some contaiers to open, then go back to missions.

2. It was a huge relief when I got to the point where I could just slice crates of CDEF guns or survival knives. After that it went pretty fast.

3. It wasn't that bad. Boring, but only took a couple days to grind that line. Scout helped out a bunch here, lots of shadowpaw by the time I was done. I did shadowpaw the whole way since I had tons of stuff harvested with scout.

4. I was TKM, no healing needed for me.

5. yeah, they were all afk macro healing the afk tumbling guy... glad that's been done away with.

6 and 7. There were mounts when I started, but they were still pretty expensive. So I still did a lot of running / logging out in a camp. There wasn't a whole lot of player cities with shuttles yet either, so it would take me most of a play session just to get from Bestine to Jabba's. I had scout anyway to harvest organics for grinding spices at the time, so getting TN wasn't too horrible.

8. I think I wasmore happywhen I finally got master - thank god the pistol and slice grinding was over with.

9. Yeah...

10. I don't know about you, but I still do from time to time. Guess that's what happens when you are on alow popserver and I'm on the overpopulated one...

The awe, wonder, and giddiness to actually be 'in the Star Wars universe'.
(Which lasted for about the first 2 months)

Oddly, I actually miss all the learning I had to do (what tools, weapons, professions, etc).

Also, I remember when my guild existed (and when it died [I'll give you one guess]).

Bug fixes. Heh! Smuggling. Heh! A Jedi craves not these things.

My SWG Observations

If they stopped the expansions for one year and gave quality revamps to the professions that need it most, many people would resubscribe.
With all the resubs, and the new players, there would then be plenty of money to hire enough people to do 2-4 quality revamps per year plus 1-2 larger expansions per year and/or 2-4 smaller expansions per year, and not give the BigWigs a pay cut. (Possibly even an increase)

I remember getting slicing II and how excited I was to slice my own pistol.

I remember being even more excited at slicing III being able to slice my own armor.

I remeber SpecialK teaching me Master Smuggler and how proud I was to have made it.

I remeber trying for a week to track down Geevo Deem in game to buy enough faction to get Colonel so I too could sell faction.

I rember making my first million credits from selling smuggler tools, the just introduced Vehicles, and resources.

I remeber being able to solo all kinds of things as a Master Smuggler, Master Artisan, and half of a merchant.]

I remember me and my Guildmates meeting up to hunt at a Flora Farm, cause thats the only building any of us had, and the owner had built it himself.

I remember when a Scyk on Tatooine was Deadly

I remember Going through about 40 Unlocked Containers before I could slice Terminals because no one even knew what a molecular clamp was at the time.

I remember wasting a lot containers/weapons before finaly figuring out that FANs are sometimes wrong

I remember getting cheated by a Higher level smuggler when I paid 50k(I had to do missions all day to get that much) for 20 FANs thinking they would have 10 uses like a PLK did.

I remember Every inch of Mos Espa... And teh Surrounding countryside, and all of it looks like little more than a ghost town to me now, Cantina used to be full of Entertainers, Hospital full of Medics and (novice) doctors.

I remember actually selling the Low Level spices that I used to grind the Spice tree.

8. You were so happy to have slice 4 with the % bonus!

until you discovered it was worse than slicing 2 because of the bug.

Carpal tunnel from Shadowpaw grinding in my player city's cantina? ahhhh

I had a vendor in that cantina (bazaar terminal looking one) that I stocked with every spice, ranging from 250-1000 credits a pop. Great money for a noob like me.

And my scoped DL-44, 88 max damage, 4.6 speed. Schweet!

Lol, I thought that 100+ damage tusken rifle on the bazaar for 300 credits was a steal! Over 100 damage!
